I can't believe how unfunny tonight's new "Family Guy" is. Iy's like it's written by a teenager who doesn't understand humor. It's just that bad.

So far this season has been horrible. Haven't seen tonight's episode yet but if what you say is true I am disappointed but not suprised. :( It feels like yet another case of a show going on past it's prime. (Hasn't been funny more than not since season five)

It drifted into later Simpsons crap. Sure FG has always done stuff like that, but at least at times it wasn't horribly noticable and eveb passable, but in tonight's episode Peter bought a space shuttle from NASA, parked it on the lawn and went to space, then came back. This was not a dream sequence.

I totally agree. Unlike many here, I've liked a few of the more recent episodes but tonights episode was horrendous. I don't think I laughed once.

Uh, I seem to remember that the venerable first-run had Peter hitting the WB Road Runner with his car, getting into an accident with a deer driving a car, and his daughter killed William Shatner. Oh, and Stewie built a time machine and saved the house from burning down.

None of these were dream sequences either.

I find it odd that people say they USED to like Family Guy, but gosh darn it, it's just too crazy now!

YEah, and those were passable. This wasn't even done funny. It's more like: why the hell was this in this episode? I've seen better "Wow -- this is wrose than that time I..." flashbacks.

A bad Family Guy usually means a decent American Dad, tonight they were both awful, can't imagine what it's going to be like when the Cleveland Show lands, one funny episode a month from the 3?

I can't believe the guy who posts the least amusing thread bombs and the least amusing threads in Misc is complaining about a television show not being funny.

The mind, it boggles.

I watch the show, but do not respect it. In my view, it attempts to shock more often than it used to, but otherwise is basically the same. Whether one finds the increased shock funnier or less funny is, of course, a matter of taste.

Not good news. ill watch this week's later but the last one (Road to Germany) was fucking dire. I was starting to lose hope last season but was really buoyed by the opening two episodes this year. This could be the end for me.

American Dad on the other hand was been consistently brilliant. That one with Roger's split personality? Amazing.

For some reason I find Fam Guy only amusing on first viewing, but hilarious on the reruns and especially on the DVD with the uncensored footage. Hell I usually can't remember what the episode was about the next morning :p

Yea trying to pull humor out of shuttle disasters and 9/11 on the the same episode is a little much.

Yeah, it was lame.

"Mommy, Daddy, Chris, the Dog, Brian!" That one took me a second...oh, Meg is the dog. Another Meg is ugly joke. Ha. Ha.

Perhaps the more hands-off Seth McFarlane is, the worse the show gets. I dunno. I can still watch reruns the first seasons and be amused, but recent episodes fall flat.

"Road to Germany" had the Hawkmen bit, which was funny. Though, it was still weak compared to previous Stewie-Brian outings.

Chris and the clerk guy just isn't that funny...seems like they are going for more Seth Green inspired pop-culture geek humor.

The same thing crossed my mind.

Oddly enough, I felt the same way about last night's show. It felt like they were not even trying.
