1 unforgivable flaw of this series: the 80s hair metal theme song

Well, then I totally misunderstood the genre of music which is being discussed then. I just remember Metallica having a lot of hair and playing metal. I thought that was what we were talking about but I'm wrong.

 Back then yes Metallica had a lot of hair! But they were considered "thrash metal". I guess you can still call them that but they have mellowed a tad bit.

Metal is broken up in many genres. If you aren't a fan of metal, it may all sound the same :)

They did have the hair :)
Sure they had hair, but, they didn't spend hours styling it, just right, and they certainly never had the "Glam Rock" sound or costumes

But, anyways, back on topic, before a Mod smacks our hands, I too enjoy Faith of the Heart version on Enterprise, not sure why it's such a hated version? Maybe because it's the only version I've heard, so, no preconceived notions to compare it to?

T'was bad, aye, but the lack of a single crewmember death in the first two seasons was much worse - one can't mute/skip chapter forward on that. Even The West Wing killed off an employee in its first few eps! :scream:

You mean the penultimate episode of the second season?
Try Bartlet's personal doctor, who, unlike all the ENT third-season casualties I can think of, gets a name, several scenes and dialogue before biting it in the second episode. ;)

That's called having long hair. If those styles make you a hair metal band, then many of the bands from the late sixties and the seventies were playing hair metal.

have a hard time taking a show seriously that employs butt rock in its opening credits

The song was not metal. It was stupid yes, but not metal.

And they didn't have "80's hair" either. I wish they did. I miss those hairstyles. Particularly on women.

The point is was is that I like the song. And it is not in any shape or form metal or an 80s hair metal song.

Rock-ish for sure, metal no.

^ Ah, but the topic title isn't "the 1 unforgivable flaw...", it's just plain "1 unforgivable flaw...", so... ;)

Yeah, yeah, he was one of the bad attorney guys in "Devil's Advocate". He got like two scenes, and they killed him off in the very episode they introduced him. They only killed him to give Bartlett a chance to be a badass and show that he wasn't the pussy version of a Democrat.

So you win on a technicality. But really, Morris' death in TWW was slightly less heartbreaking then when Archer tells Porthos he can't have any more cheese.

It's a bad theme, that's for certain; especially the second version... but Hair Metal? Closer to R'n'B.
Wait, scratch that: although some of her vowels are ridiculously outstretched, consonants are audible so... Pop? Yeah, probably more Britney than Beyoncé.

It's even farther away from R&B than it is to hair metal.

Aye, and the resulting drama over the level of "response" is both deeper and heavier than anything I've seen from ENT. ;)

Well, of course you would think it's bad, if you think a male singer is a female singer.
