Contest: ENTER ✨⭐✨ 200th Fan Art Challenge – “YOUR Star Trek” – With PRIZE!

And then I started playing around with Legos. This one captures the friendship and humour of TOS I think. Yeah, its juvenile and it's not arty - but this might be my favourite. I call this masterpeice "exploration of the outer rim".

That Kirk looks so pleased with himself.

It's such a curious convergence that just as Lower Decks is rekindling my trek love and I delve back into the communities of old that this contest comes around... already have an idea. It's good to be back.

I did something like that with old Star Wars toys :)

This was made on my kitchen sideboard using an A7iii and a 24mm f2.8 lens.

Yes! What I was working on for the monthly art contest is a story. If I had little figures and combine that with the computer model ships for the exterior shots, I could probably tell that better.

whoops sorry what i had in mind to submit wont be done in time cus of work and all sorry =/ It will prolly take another week at least to finish. Hopefully i can join in next contest :)

Hey guys! I suck at planning stuff, so I didn‘t realize that when I started this contest I would be on vacation when the month ends. I also didn‘t anticipate that we would be without a proper internet connection where we are staying. So what I want to do is extend the submission period until the weekend, when I will be back home to post the voting thread.

I know it isn‘t optimal and I should have thought of that earlier, but I hope I have your understanding. A positive side effect of this is that people who are still working on their entries are now getting a couple more days to put the finishing touches on their entries. Again, I apologize for this.

So you can now enter your pieces until Sunday, 2 PM BST (London).

Midnight (BST) on Tuesday 31st August is 7pm eastern for North America.
Just putting it out there for any who weren't clear, as i wasn't until i checked.

Edit: 2pm BST is 9AM EST for us yanks!

@Michael thanks for the update! As my computer issues have me behind schedule, this extension is most appreciated! Have a fun & safe trip!

I've been living under a rock and never entered one of these challenges before. I think I have tomorrow. I might try to get one in.

Star Trek has always made me look forward. Given me the idea that eventually, things just might be alright. That whatever scary and uncertain things happen, we will endure, we will persevere, and we will be better for it. Above all else, Star Trek has, for three or so decades, always given me hope. It's been a rocky road at times, and it will be again, but at the heart of it all? I can still find it in me to look to the stars and have hope for the future. So to honor the ones most responsible for instilling me with it, here's my entry for this contest.

Okay, maybe if I post my entry here now it'll force me to stop tinkering with it... ;)

This is my tribute to the creativity and imagination of the fans who continue to expanded the Star Trek universe beyond the limits of what is shown on our TV screens.

"Star Trek: 2079"

Drawing together Star Trek 2009 and TNG's Encounter at Farpoint. U.E.S. Polaris, a DY-550 type I designed, is loaded down with supplies and crew for the all-new "Jupiter Station". En route, the Polaris investigates a mysterious anomaly: a lightning storm in space.

Meanwhile, the villainous Chief Judge Lexan, leader of the last remaining "faction" outside of the new United Earth Alliance, plots to undermine the Polaris' mission with the aid of agents posing as Polaris and Station personnel. The sudden arrival of an immense field of wreckage containing radically advanced technology may change Earths destiny forever.

I'm glad we got the extension on the deadline for this contest because I didn't have time to work on my entry until today (bringing back some serious college vibes there). It would've also been my Sketch of the Week installment tomorrow morning, but the odds that I would be awake before 9AM EST to get it in under the wire is doubtful at best, so I'm posting it here a little bit early.

So, without further ado, my entry is what will eventually become the title page in my one-shot Evangelion and Star Trek: TNG crossover manga EVA Trek later this year, featuring Chief Operations Officer Lt. Cmdr Misato Katsuragi and Chief Engineer Ryoji Kaji, in an homage to a classic photo of Shatner and Nimoy from The Original Series.
