I love it when they include their legal defense in the very title of the production.

official movie trailer (no nudity or even kissing)

    Official Trailer
    length 46 seconds.
With that orchestral music and the editing it looks like a regular movie.

The music is too loud in the mix but oh well.

After seeing this I wonder if any of these actors will be showing up at a booth at a 'Star Trek' convention to sign autographs? (at a Hustler video booth...)
    Evan Stone
    Sasha Grey
    Tony DeSergio
    Ero Sennin
    Cheyne Collins
    Anthony Rosano
    Nick Manning
    Jada Fire
    Codi Carmichael
    Jenna Haze
    Aurora Snow

Yeah I can actually see Hustler Video getting a booth at the NJ and Las Vegas conventions this year and have Sasha Grey & Evan Stone do an appearance for 2 hours...
Of course it would be funny if they got more attention than other veteran Trek principle actors.
It may not be canon but it would be even funnier if these actors above made a porn series and became part of the 'Star Trek' universe.
    One sequel is already mentioned.
Perhaps people will start overflowing Hustler Video's mailbox with TOS crew scripts and story ideas...
On the downside though with part of Hustler Video's product being porno the actors have a limited ceiling on appearing in those scenes although could appear in future films without full nudity down the road...

Since this movie seems to take some inspiration from "The Wrath of Khan" (or at least "Space Seed"), I think the title to the sequel should be pretty obvious. "The Search for Spock"...hmm, how do you suppose they could make that title into something sexual? :) Come to think of it, "Space Seed" sounds pretty dirty too if you interpret it a certain way. :p

That's in the same vein as what I was suggesting, but I was thinking of just dropping the "Sp" in "Spock" and...well I'm sure you can figure out the rest. :)

This movie is on my "Must See 2009 list", which also includes such cinematic classics as "Obama's Nailin Palin".

I know in comparison to the actually quantity of produced porn it isn't but in the last 2 years they have released quite a few classic TV show XXX parodies, Star Trek, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Gilligan's Island, Get Smart and as I just found out even The Munsters get a turn. What a fantastic world we live in!

    special features

At the link removed official listing of the video on the Hustler website[/URL] you can click on the back image of the DVD which is NSFW. Nudity and hardcore photographs.
It says of the 'special features'

    - Making of Featurette
    - 3 bonus scenes
    - Behind-the-Scenes
    - Director's storyboard
    - Photo Gallery
    2009, approx. 140 min

No information on if it was mixed in 5.1 surround or just a stereo 2-track.

Penthouse has the Blu-ray for sale already on it's site for $60. though.
That same site has the film as a DVD 2-disc set for $31.
I'm only mentioning ballpark prices so you know what you would be spending if you were to get this for the TOS bridge/transporter room/sickbay recreation and art direction, costumes, makeup, props, script, acting to compare it to Trek TOS series.
At the moment if you pre-order before May 12 at tla video the DVD is only $18.
That is all I'll mention of vendors and prices.

Now while 'This Ain't Star Trek XXX' was shot in HD something tells me this would actually be better to watch on DVD so as to lessen the extent of taking you out of the fantasy that this is actually the TOS Enterprise bridge. (If it were in HD you would see all the additional details of paint, costumes, props, set decoration errors and the whole set would 'look cheaper' since it was shot on a small 1/3" CCD HD camera that leaves everything in focus. (Cheap HD)
(Unlike TOS which was shot on 35mm film which they controlled the depth of field with 35mm lenses) and then transferred to high end specs HD tape. (Great HD)

‘This Ain’t Star Trek XXX’ film short review

I picked this up today at an emporium in town on DVD.
This will be an initial review.
I skimmed through the scenes with the sound off and wished they compiled all the acting scenes. I grew kind of bored even skimming through the sex scenes. I bought this for the sets, script, acting believe it or not.

On disc 2 they do. There is a NON-SEX feature has a length of 22 minutes.
This is the one that Trekkies will be most interested in.
Most of the original sound effects are there. Some original music is there. Not sure if it was repurposed or what.
It looks great. Great lighting and camera moves and framing. This is the first time we are seeing Kirk, Bones, Spoke on the original Enterprise NCC-1701 in 16x9 widescreen that I know of. I think even the Videogame mods that have included the Enterprise are not in widescreen.
Even though they shot it in HD I preferred to get this on DVD and not on Blu-ray so as not to see the flaws of the set/props more with high definition. I want to enjoy this re-creation of TOS Enterprise and the lighting/camerawork. It is a fantasy and a high budget recreation of the Enterprise bridge and transporter room (Although not to exact size from the blueprints like Phase II) http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/

The Making of Feature is 45 minutes! I only skimmed it but details every actor and some on-the-fly interviews. There is minimal nudity of Sasha Grey getting out of wardrobe but not sex in it.
You can really see what a modern facility studio this was produced at. It looks very professional.

The 3 bonus scenes are for totally other films and have NOTHING to do with 'This Ain't Star Trek XXX'.

    - Director's storyboard is the director talking and dissolves from storyboard to the shot. I just skimmed this too.

    - Photo Gallery- with music. Promotional still photos of the actors in wardrobe and out-of-wardrobe.

I would recommend this as I can just pop in disc 2 and watch the NON-SEX FEATURE anytime.
I'm even going to keep this on my DVD movie shelf without the original DVD art (since I do not own any other Porno films).

The sets are in storage as the director said they were going to do at least one sequel.
I hope they do some exploring of a planet location in a sequel and use a smoke machine for some hazy atmosphere. With HD you need a little something to take off the crisp clean edge.

Looking forward to spending more time to enjoy the 22 minute scripted film.

    Review:
‘This Ain’t Star Trek XXX’ DVD Disc 2

    NON-SEX FEATURE
Dolby Digital 2.0, (Widescreen), Length 22 minutes
The sets and wardrobe colors are saturated and pop like 1960's TOS remastered.
The video quality is really top notch and I didn't notice any video or compression artifacts. There are some nice closeups in the 16x9 widescreen framing of Kirk and others.
I did not notice ANY soft filtration on any of the actresses closeups but they should have used some as a nod to TOS closeups. The transporter CGI effects are adequate.

    *Some spoilers of the plot*
Khan looks a little sweaty sometimes but that's just the makeup and he is a little. There are some nods to TOS colored lighting on Enterprise. The video intercom reminded me of the one in 'Austin Powers' car with Basil Exposition. TOS only had an intercom system on the Enterprise and not a video intercom but oh well they took creative license...

The music sounded like a sequenced sampled orchestra as it is all orchestral-style music.
Nice low level ambience of ships interiors. The sound effects for computers, communicators, tricorders are not 'vintage TOS' but stand-ins that do the job. It would have been nice if they used the same sound effects although with Paramount's lawyers they probably would have to license them for this parody.

They ADR’d (looped) ALL of Uhura’s dialogue and the sync is off quite a bit.
Some of Spock is looped. The actor playing Spock is British and sometimes you hear his accent and sometimes you don't.
Kirk’s monologue has no reverb at all and that should have some reverb on their next parody Star Trek film.

Khan introduces himself as ‘Khan Noonien Singh’ of the S.S. Botany Bay. Which was established in TOS episode 'Space Seed'.
Kirk introduces himself as ‘James Tiberius Kirk’.

Khan’s wardrobe, a yellow shiny raincoat-type jacket with stars is ridiculous. Those stars just scream out 20th century Porno or daredevil. The video shot on HD shows a lot of detail in the textured fabric. His overacting is kind of funny.
And Sasha Grey's acting is amateurish.

The plot device for Khan to take over is called PSI 2000 virus.
    http://memory-alpha.org/en/index.php/Psi_2000
taken from TOS episode ‘The Naked Time’.

The actor playing Spock sometimes has a British accent and sometimes does not.

Kirk yells “Khan!” with echoes & reverb similar to TWOK.
There are a couple shots where Evan Stone is totally parodying Shatner's acting with long pauses between words.

Basically the opening and closing scenes are looped ADR dialogue partly due to the wide crane shots over the bridge (done with a jib as seen in the behind-the-scenes).

    SLIDESHOW:
6 seconds each of still images taken by photographer. Orchestral music plays underneath for about 8 ½ minutes and then the music starts over. The whole thing lasts about 20-25 minutes. “pretty-girl” style shots in wardrobe then Hustler style porno with penetration, then cast group shots on bridge in wardrobe, then behind-the-scenes on-set shots. The images from the first post of this thread are in there too.
The music is like an ISO music track of some of the score.

    Storyboards
    Length 1:36, (Widescreen)
Director talks over the storyboards that dissolve to the shot

    BLOOPER:
(widescreen) blooper reel. A few minutes or so.

MAKING OF: about 45 minutes (Widescreen)
    *Some spoilers of the plot*
A few shots full frontal nudity.
Casual interviews all of the actors separately and lots of joking around on the set and behind-the-scenes in and out of wardrobe. A very humbling shots of an actor on his knees putting in his special effects contact lens in the bathroom with assistance.
Most of the sound is from the camera microphone but within a couple feet it sounds adequate inside the studio. I wish all of the behind-the-scenes footage was NOT handheld but smoothed out with a monopod or a tripod. Since I'm only reviewing the DVD I cannot tell if the 'Making of' was shot in High Definition.
I mentioned in my initial review how the studio facility looks professional and it does. If there were no nudity on this disc and the title was different you would not know it was a company that makes porno films. The size of the crew is smaller than even a non-union independent scripted film though.
Watching this 'making of' video kind of ruins the fantasy of the recreation of the Enterprise bridge, transporter room, sickbay sets though since you really do see a lot including the director blocking out a scene. If you purchase this film you may want to save this part until you watch the NON-SEX Feature a few times.

This thread deals with this parody video a serious way for Trekkers.
I am NOT reviewing the hardcore video this DVD's Disc 1.

If someone purchases the Blu-ray version please write your own review of the video quality and let us know if the making-of is in HD.
