Picard usually keeps any reluctance (like towards helping hugh, and championing the cause of the Romulans). Picard is pretty free from such hostility he thinks, if it is there it would need a trigger that rolled a natural d20 that made the possible anti Cardassian aversion (if it exists) come...
Trauma is an important factor in real life but in Picard if they are going to focus on Truama it would be good if we saw variations in the impact of trauma, with uncertain results(we did see that with book). Trauma can seem like basing an entire show on an emotion, trauma is trauma, it can look...
lots of newer shows in the 2010s deal with trauma, one person in shittydaystrom said that Sybok and his ideology was a black hole the writters couldn’t avoid.(and to some extent some of the backstories sound like a shitty daystrom post). Whether we like it or not Picard is overwealmingly going...
What if there was one area of space where the preservers created thousands of duplicates of Earth, including the Orville Earth, Firefly humans, Babylon 5 space, starship troopers, battle star galactica, and it was in a large corner of the Gamma quadrant?
What if all Crossovers similar to the...
Since Lower Decks and as early as Voyager if not before wvidence has been aculmulating that there is a popular in universe Holideck drama similar to Roddenberry's star trek that uses similar episode names and even series names like VOY.
In universe it is also known that Picard's reputation took...
If Star Trek series exist in Universe alongside all sorts of types of literature in Starfleet then Picard season 2 is definitely an anti Luddite allegory.
In the novel Uhura's brother works as a lawyer for the elephants and Chimps.
The first possibility is that the decline in human populations in India and Africa benifeted the Elephants there who benifeted during the post atomic horrors from both the pre war human size and the demise of a large...
I'm enjoying season two of Picard and I forgive the Federation. Did the UFP genocide the sentient holograms, TOS Android planets(that werent wiped out by the Zhat Cash) as well as Exocomps and any Noonian type Synths that ventured off their secret planet(kept secret from the UFP for the same...
During the Temporal war was there any attempts to alter timelines using temporally important insects (butterflies) and subatomic particles to create a literal butterfly effect and make it harder for Starfleet to undo its effects?
During the temporal wars were time travellers directly targeted from birth to prevent the official prime universe from being altered or agent Daniels himself targeted by the TLF?
During the Temporal wars how possible was it to target time travel technology and power sources similar to the targeting of oil fields in pre warp Warfare?
I think once the Discovery production team see this thread there probably upon seeing this thinking: “Yeeeesssss Emotional drama-Book-Burnham” I could easily see it happening.
Changelings have indeed changed, this episode is evidence for the founders being less isolationist in the 32nd century and spending time outside of the great link for personal reasons, which was rarely done in the 24th century-with founders leaving the link only for official dominion...

The changeling in this episode is likely a more skilled changeling then Odo and he was trapped using the type of force field Garak used on Odo- the same basic concept with regard to finding Changelings-disrupt morphological matrix with energy waves.
And they already have, tragedy for tragedy’s sake is pointless and we have enough real Burnham tragedies we don’t need more. Burnham needs to be stabilised and established by this point not thrown into further disarray.
