This whole fan Idea that the Voyager would have been better if the ship was beat up and the passengers fought...
Doesn't sound like a show I want to watch! It doesn't sound appealing. Sounds like an ugly show. Fans have the worst ideas, and couldn't produce a quality TV show or a worthwhile TV...
Hey pal, check out the Canadian BBC shop site!
The BBC is putting 10 DVD Doctor Who titles back in print, starting this week with "Manufacturing on Demand", including-
"Mark of the Rani".
Hopefully they continue this program and reprint "The Two Doctors".
This is my public service to...
I dont "Hate" the "The Last Jedi", because it's just a movie.
But I think it's a piece of crap. I dont think the Rian Johnson and the Kathleen Kennedy have the reverence, or 1/10th the creativity of George Lucas. I think it was disrespectful in many areas of why Star Wars has lasted over 40...
I think you make several great points!
1) The 7 of 9 plot you suggest is really good! That's a missed opportunity.
2) The Tuvok subplot is another good Idea. They could have used that plot device to reaffirm the strength of each character and what they mean to each other.
3) The only series...
We're all probably nerds, just for being here posting.
But I think DS9 is the "nerdiest" of all the Trek shows by a MILE! It's in it's own head the most, with all the Bajoran/prophet/"Ferengi rules"/Dominion & Odo-people stuff.
That's not for everyone. Your love/distaste of DS9 will vary...
Harry Kim "worked" just fine for what he was. I thought he was a likeable person/character. He had positive energy, and seemingly, the writers always had him get beat up by some aliens, which was rather amusing. I have no problem with Harry Kim!
TOS' theme is iconic.
VOY's is a just a fine piece of music
The TMP theme really became the theme for TNG. I never understood the logic of using it for Star Trek V.
The Voyager writers often used this toward comedic effect that usually worked really well, I thought.
The writers of Voyager had fun with the 7of 9 character in ways they didn't/couldn't with Kes.
7 of 9 added more dimension to the show, and was a strength, absolutely!

Not a TV show, but "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians"
The Little House episode where Laura needlessly sells her horse to Nellie so her mom can have a stove and Pa a shirt.
Ha-ha Laura.
And, any 70's Show x-Mas episode Is fine.
BBC sure knows how to destroy momentum. They shouldn't have taken a year off with Capaldi, and taking a year off kills all the noise made for Whitaker.
Maybe the show is in trouble. Maybe BBC takes the viewership for granted.
It was still not a good episode because seeing Riker and Troi elicit groans more than excitement. They don't even look like the time period they were from.
It just feels like the writers couldn't get over TNG. Enterprise deserved to make it's own history.
1) One of my favorite elements of TOS was the music! It was the best. So memorable. I see CD soundtracks for sale for TNG/DS9/VOY and can't imagine how boring a listen they must be.
2) I don't know how professional it would sound to say "Hi Captain!", or "See Ya!" at the end of every...
I voted B+.
Solo is a pretty good movie. Fun but forgettable. Only real criticism is the cinematography and lighting. Had some Star Wars spirit. Disney doesn't really know what they're doing with Star Wars, tho. Like The Muppets- They buy these properties and make product, without passion. Just...
1) As far as "arcs" go- I have a busy life, and Voyager is perfect for a quick hour of escapism. I don't feel like getting immersed in some ongoing story. A lot of viewers are the same. That's why Voyager probably does so well on Netflix. Voyager is perfect for a quick, "modern Trek" fix.
