What surprises or plot twists are you expecting/hoping to see in TrekXI? Personally, and I'm not even sure why I think this, but I have a feeling that Nero is Spock's son. That would actually make a little more sense than some random-ass Romulan flying through time to fuck with shit.

It looks like we'll be getting a Muslim character in the new Trek after all. And apparently he's gonna be a badass!

I realize the subject of the post sounds a little jokey, but I'm actually semi-serious about this. Essentially, Spock is the Vulcan equivalent of a young minority (Human-Vulcan) forgoing college (Vulcan Science Academy) against his father's wishes. If not a badass, I'd say he's at least a rebel...

I just saw at trekmovie.com. Pretty interesting. Maybe she'll go clepto and steal a few props.

I'm ready for more. I really can't wait until some official cast photos come out, some of the photoshopped ones look pretty good. Part of me hopes they don't screw with the ship too much, but I kinda doubt they will, and I can't wait to see the ship no matter what it is.

It's the end of August, just over two months before the start of shooting. How much longer do you think it'll be before they let the cat out of the bag concerning who'll play Kirk? I'm guessing mid-October, they're gonna want to milk it for all it's worth.

Now, most people are figuring that the "Federation Captain" character is actually Pike and they're just describing him as a Federation captain to misdirect people. While I agree that is a viable explaination, is there really any reason for them to hide the fact that Pike will appear? I know...

I think it's pretty clear that Nimoy probably won't just be sitting around telling a story in this movie. The fact that Nimoy's in it is enough to convince me of that. What I want to know though is what exactly Spock will be doing. Any thoughts? :vulcan:
