I was wondering if anyone has bought this and if it was worth picking up or is it the same as the 4k that was released a few years ago, only in a different box?

Hi there,
I've just watched the 4k director's edition of The Motion Picture and was wondering if there are many novels that explore the era from around this time up until the Wrath of Khan?
I am very tempted to get involved with building my own kits of the ships in the Polar Lights' line but I was wondering what kind of skill is required?
I am a total beginner and wouldn't even know which paints to get etc, am I best starting elsewhere?
Watched it again for the first time in decades if honest, I have to say it's still great fun but I wonder if the budget was reduced. The pace of it was pretty breakneck and I found it comparable to a two-parter of the television series, which is not a criticism at all as most modern blockbusters...
If you already own the films on DVD - I'm just wondering what difference it makes to the transfer of the picture?
Have director's edition of TWOK on DVD but wondering if worth upgrading?

Hi everyone, newbie here, I'm very interested in getting onboard with Trek fiction but I was wondering where is a good place for a jumping on point with Trek fiction?
