During his Reddit AMA, Matalas made a number of interesting comments about what he had wanted to do or envisioned but ran out of time or money.
Among these things were that Ro Laren was supposed to return at the end as the Changelings had beamed her off the shuttle before it exploded. He also...
His musical scores for this season have been incredible. Just a pure throwback to traditional Trek music, mixed in with modern action and suspense cues. His usage of Horner’s and Goldsmith’s cues have been spot on.
Hopefully he gets a chance to do other Trek projects in the future.
The music...
Been meaning to clarify this since episode one aired, but how much do they know? April seems to commend Pike for his handling of it, but does he know everything that happened? Did La’an find out as well?
Having watched Picard’s season 2 premiere, it struck me that you could probably count the episodes that answer these questions on less than 10 fingers.
“The Star Gazer” is a very good candidate. While it isn’t a pure allegory driven episode like Discovery’s “But to Connect…” or pure campy fun...
Conventional writing SOP probably establishes her as someone from the totalitarian regime or a refugee that Picard has to save in order to maximize the dramatic payoff.
Or will she remember everything like the main characters do?
Or will she not feature at all?
I've made posts about this before, but after this latest episode I think it's fair to discuss this on its own.
Trek has depicted Federation/Starfleet leaders in the past. Rillak might be the best of the bunch. Admittedly, the standard hasn't always been very high, as a lot of those leaders were...
They're clearly building a deep emotional connection between him and Burnham, so something consequential is likely to happen by the end of the season.
I guess if anyone has any inside info on the casting for next season they would be able to answer this poll more accurately. :D

Still saddened over the passing of Alex Trebek, but Burton seems like he would be a worthy successor.
Not that Q is a particularly moral being, but he did have a soft spot for humans and Picard specifically. And he knows he was the one who brought them in contact with the Borg.
Was he confident that humanity (and the Enterprise) would succeed? Was he confident that they could rescue Picard?
Or...
His character arc, for a minor character, is pretty intense. But what did you think about it? Was it well done or poorly handled? Was it believable, or did it feel shoehorned in?
Given that Valeris was originally supposed to be Saavik, I get that Meyer wanted it to be personal with characters...
Did The Burn occur in that universe as well? Or has everything flipped and the Terran Empire became an actual peace-loving United Federation of Planets? Booker is not a courier, but captain of the Starship Enterprise? Zareh is President of the UFP?
That parasitic ice is actually mutualistic and...
Hypothetically speaking, if an extinction level asteroid/meteor impact was known to occur in ~25 years time, what realistic options does humanity, and life in general on Earth, have?
Could we feasibly design a space operation to alter the course of or destroy the object?
Is it possible to...
Can you name three good things you liked about an almost universally disliked/hated episode, and three bad things you didn't like about an almost universally liked/loved episode?
For example, can you name 3 bad things about "The Inner Light" and 3 good things about "Threshold?"
EDIT: Feel free...
Would the Federation still have gone to war with the Klingons knowing there was a bigger threat out there somewhere? Georgiou wouldn't have died on the Shenzhen? Burnham would've been a decorated, respected officer without going the mutineer route? The MU incursion would never have occurred, and...
Maybe not even necessarily the whole story, but do you think he told one of his closest friends anything at all about what happened on Discovery? Or about his sister-by-adoption?
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the perfect casting job that was done for each of these main feature characters each season? These actors were so well casted that their performances have basically defined their respective seasons (Season 3 just started but based on one episode I’m...
____ ____ = time jump (for spoiler purposes)
Burnham I'll assume has longer hair by the time Discovery shows up, and presumably she'll have developed her relationship with Book over that time period. How long of a period are we looking at? Months? Years?
Another twist in the year of 2020.
Trump says he's getting tested. I assume Biden will get tested too considering they were in the same room together for hours.
It'd be so 2020 if both of them got it too.
Iconic can have a pretty wide-ranging definition, but I won't try to narrow it for this poll. Define it however you want to define it.
I'll try to list some characters that are not in comic books as well, just to get a wider range of choices.
Memorable to you. Feel free to use whatever definition you want for that - iconic, unforgettable, most melodic, best suited to the movie/TV show, whatever you want.
I've tried to include as much as I could on the list. Some things I separated even though they were on the same soundtrack because...
