Having completed catching up on the recent novels, as promised: a new update. Revised for your reading order needs :)
8of5 is an amazing collaborator and deserves most of the credit for this.

Boy, time sure does pass. I started a new job in October 2016 and didn't have much time to read for a few months, and ever since I've been meaning to catch up on the recent Trek novels at some point. And all of a sudden, it's been over three years. I did read Desperate Hours (which I thought...
So I'm trying to put together a list for myself of all the Trek novels in publication order, by month, because I couldn't find one that seemed both complete and accurate. It turns out: this is weirdly harder than I expected it to be. (Which is perhaps why I couldn't find one that seemed...
It's been a while since this was updated, it had gotten a little out of date, mostly because this year has been insane for Star Trek news and 8of5's site has like 2 new articles every day. 8of5 has been insanely busy keeping up with everything; I don't know how often you visit...
8of5 has granted me the honors of announcing this update, even though he does most of the work... ;)
The super handy, if increasingly huge, Star Trek Lit-verse Reading Order Flow Chart has entered its fourth revision!
It had been a little over a year, and so this version has all of the...
So there's this little nest of continuity I haven't explored yet, and I'm wondering if you all would help me with reading order or any connections I've missed.
These stories are all related, as far as I can tell:
- Eugenics Wars
- To Reign In Hell
- Assignment: Eternity
- From History's Shadow...
Shockingly, being a die-hard fan of TrekLit since the DS9 Relaunch, I'm also a fan of other long, multi-book works of science fiction.
There's an analogy I'm going to steal from (I think) tor.com's Jo Walton - plot twists are like spear points. The ones that really penetrate have long, heavy...
I know someone posted a couple years ago that the Distant Shores e-book was missing a couple stories. I just bought it from amazon, and mine definitely has all of them.
Just for everyone's info.
I'm finally watching the modern Doctor Who reboot. It's rather shocking it's taken me this long, I know. I'm only on second season but I'm loving it.
Anyway: there are a ton of Doctor Who tie-in novels, it would seem. I'm not interested in the ones before the Ninth Doctor either way. Tell...
I know rfmcdpei just started a "reactions" thread, but I like these, with the polls. Maybe this could be the spoiler thread, and that one the spoiler free thread?
Anyway, I'm excited about this one; can't wait for the Kindle version next Tuesday. First one I've really been excited for since...
It's available tomorrow. Comments here!
For the only 24th century main-continuity material we're getting for just about a whole year, I'm perhaps unreasonably excited about this...
It's apparently out in bookstores, so here's the official thread with the poll.
Being honest: I'm saving this one for a re-read of the whole series culminating in Storming Heaven next year. But I'm excited to see what everyone thinks :)
I'd say it's about time for this one, eh?
Even with all the TOS stuff early last year, it's been a while since a legit 5YM story came out. Troublesome Minds, yeah? So, that's pretty cool. Looking forward to it.
People are saying they've seen it in stores, so it seems to be time.
Crazy excited for this one. Woo hoo!
Please tag spoilers. If you don't agree with that policy, see discussion at the beginnings of the last few threads like this; the general preference seems to be for tagging.
Usually reviews start appearing about a week before the official sale date, so let's get this going.
It's been two years since the last New Frontier novel; definitely a long long wait. The cliffhanger at the end of Treason still has my curiosity piqued though, and NF has rarely disappointed...

I've been looking forward to this one since the day it was announced; seems like a GREAT idea for a Christopher novel. Can't wait to see how this turns out!
