    Siskos prejudice?

It's in the "Talkin' 'bout Shaft" Edit.

    Siskos prejudice?

Joke? Or did you see a different edit of the episode than I did?

Mel Brooks Returning as Yogurt in Spaceballs Sequel

...And lampoon-style comedy is what I'd call it. I feel that if a more modern humour style were to be applied to its sequel, it'll lose all of its subtlety and become full of aggressive jokes that hit you on the head with them. The attitudes have also changed a lot since the original movie.

The Naked Gun (2025) Teaser trailer

This came up on my feed and I thought it was some AI made trailer. Really 90s comedy feels, like that it's a continuation and not a reboot. The OJ joke made me burst out laughing.

Nemesis is better than Insurrection: Convince me otherwise.

More a joke based on actors asking ‘what’s my motivations’ than a dig, but yes. Though I am not overly fond of Hardy as an actor. *shrug* He wasn’t the problem with Nem.

    Spoilers Resident Alien (2020 SyFy)

Oh yeah, I forgot about when they had The Incredible Hulk Lonely Man music playing as Joseph walked away from the house with his duffle bag, that was hilarious. I'm really impressed they went for joke like that, I'm not sure there are many people who would get that reference today.

    Happy Father's Day. Here's a dad joke.

Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I took the liberty of asking that Reddit thread’s author to detail what Akiva Goldsman said regarding sets. While they have not gotten back to me yet, I did find someone on the main Star Trek sub who also attended, and asked if they had any clarification of their own. Here’s their response:

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

I really only have two complaints about SNW at the moment but they are pretty minor. 1. I wish they would stop making Spock the butt of the joke. They've done it a few times and the very first thing that was released in terms of Season 3 was that whole thing with the away team becoming...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Neat, I didn't exist at that time, so it's not surprising that I didn't know of that iteration. But it's cool that it did exist. Did you get to see it live on TV while it was on its original Broadcast run?

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

...2010) strong ratings (among a younger demographic), but then-CBS president William Paley did not renew the series thanks to his thin skin over a joke that CBS was no longer the "Tiffany Network", but the "Comic Book Network" (in addition to The Amazing Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, The Incredible...

Mel Brooks Returning as Yogurt in Spaceballs Sequel

...a blast from my youth and has become a classic but on the other i like to believe i have outgrown this type of humor and fear we might just get a flat juvenile comedy movie from the 90s. I hope it'll be still funny and update some of the jokes to a more contemporary style, whatever that may be.

I like it better as well but that is no knock on SNW. Like it lots as well.

And the Next Cancelled Show is...

You want to think of the show as Star Trek and watch it amongst the various Trek shows, fine, whatever, we can't stop you there. But just stop referring to it as "Star Trek Orville" when you're discussing it here, how hard is that? Hell, it's literally easier to just type out "Orville" as...

50 Years Ago This Week June 15 Wallace D. Muhammad, who had recently become leader of the American Nation of Islam organization (known popularly as the Black Muslims), told NOI members at a convention in Chicago that the group would accept white people into its membership. Rejecting the...

Although I had huge issues with the blue guy episode, where coercion into sex with pheromones was treated as a joke, overall I've... liked the Orville slightly more than SNW.

...and Scotty in that Star Trek film." And being not enough, they also swipe up the technobabble writers, which can make for some fun technobabble jokes and what ("Beam across a galaxy with a handheld transporter? That's absurd! Even by my standards.") Eventually they build from that from...

And the Next Cancelled Show is...

But it's not just a joke to me. That's what I am saying. It's how I think of the show as well. Sometimes I might make a sort of joke with it but it's how I also view the show as well. I am having a Trek marathon right now and I literally watch the show as part of that marathon.
