    ST: TNG Rewatch

Okay wrapping up season 1: Heart of Glory: Excellent! A fantastic look at Worf and how he feels about his place among humans when meeting Klingons for the first time. The great Vaughn Armstrong dons the makeup for the first time and makes an excellent impression. Michael Dorn runs with this...

Non Trek Fic: Spider Quinn (Spider-Man/Daria)

Part 4 Linda had felt Sandi’s search for Jane and thus knew what had happened when she opened the door to find Daria holding up her daughter. “I know about her powers, Mrs. Griffin. I promised to keep them secret.” Linda took Sandi into her arms. “You know everything, I suppose?” “Not...

...this is any indication of things to come, I'm not sure I can stick around. Sci-fi is dead now. Star Trek is finished with Enterprise's cancellation. Star Wars is done with the release of Revenge of the Sith. Serenity didn't light the box office on fire, meaning the Firefly verse is probably...

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Clearly the way to do it is to devote one episode per gunslinger and they only join forces as a full team in the final 30 seconds of the season finale, teasing the next season which never comes because the show gets canceled.

And the Next Cancelled Show is...

An estranged couple raising a child while doing security jobs? I would have called the show "Tony and Ziva Bang like they're Teenagers" Every episode starts with a sex farce, where you see nothing, but they almost get caught, or fall out of a tree or the hot air balloon runs amok, and then...

Alphanumeric! A "ReBoot" (1994 - 2001) documentary series and remaster

Indeed. And, since Megabyte's forces' flying tanks were called armored binome carriers (ABCs), the second-season finale featured two good guy binomes delivering this exchange: - "The ABCs have turned on us!" - "Treacherous dogs!"

    Set blueprint exchange

Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year This update took rather longer than I hoped for various reasons, and I've ultimately decided to split it into at least one more update (which will be hopefully in the first weeks of the new year). There is a *lot* more to add. This update was...

It might harder than it used to be, but streaming megahits do exist. There's just way more competition than there used to be and most Trek (the glory days included) would struggle to compete in the modern era because expectations have risen a lot, too.

    Fallout: The Television Series

I enjoyed that. Mrs Xmas has been watching since the beginning, but with the way things get cancelled these days, I didn't follow it closely. Been burnt too many times by shows that I liked, made a point to watch and was then left hanging. Now I've got a whole season to catch up with!

Im relieved there were only 5 missions in std and a lot of episodes were filler to boot. So glad that series is done. I suspect sta will go only have 2 seasons.

Prodigy is the only one which was prematurely cancelled. Picard ended after three seasons of its own accord. And while Disco and Lower Decks had plans for sixth seasons, five seasons can be considered a full run in modern television making it inaccurate to call a show with five seasons...

So your argument is: A franchise that had not had a new entry on television in over a decade had more engagement not only from audiences but also critics than a series near the end of its run and an animated series that has less engagement, period? LOL. More often (not always) than not, a...

I would say this is more a function of the limited choices people had at the time to watch. It was watch what the few channels offered, go to a theatre, or rent a film. And renting a film wasn't a thing when TOS was on the air. We're past the time, where everyone in the office is watching a...

Anything to back this up? I don't necessarily disagree, I just wonder if there's anything concrete to support it. I think the realities of streaming production basically assured that none of the new shows would ever attain TOS/TNG levels of cultural relevance - both those series thrived in...

The Simpsons 2 will be in theaters on September 3, 2027.

Given that Paramount canceled Avatar's theatrical release and brought it directly to Paramount Plus, and Disney hasn't released a 2D animated film since 2011, I was considering the possibility that The Simpsons 2 might be released on Disney Plus instead of theatrically. However, Matt Groening is...

College Football 2025: Where's My NIL Money?

Look up Lincoln University in Oakland. They have a football program that people are calling the Bishop Sycamore of college football. They've gone 3-47 in 5 seasons, have no home games, do red eye travel, players don't get water or medical attention, they've had to cancel games -- sometimes the...
