Every once in a while I hear people say that the Voyager novelverse novels were their favorite but that they like the show a lot less. This got me thinking about which characters I think come off better in the novels than they do the shows/movies.
The first that comes to mind is Troi. In Next Gen it seemed to me that her powers were often weakened or unhelpful, but in the Titan novels I found the use of her character and powers to be great.
What characters or series worked better in novels for all of you?
