I just think it's sad that instead of just enjoying a movie people need to divided themselves in a Snyder camp and a Gunn camp and fight over a fictional character.
I loved the Snyder movies. Haven't seen the Gunn version yet, I'm pretty sure I will enjoy it a lot. Maybe love that as well.
Exactly. I never understood those divisions. I'm one of the people that enjoyed Man of Steel and the 2025 Superman. I liked a lot of the DCEU movies, but there were definitely some I didn't like! I think it'll be the same with the DCU, as I wasn't impressed with Creature Commandos.

We call this a healthy way of being a fan. The other one is rather toxic. You don't have to like both, but online or offline hatred towards people that like what you dislike is just mentally unstable.

DC boss James Gunn says Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow will begin filming soon: "Lex Luthor and Superman have to work together against a much bigger threat"
James Gunn says Man of Tomorrow is "as much a Lex Luthor movie as it is a Superman movie"

Superman director/DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has confirmed that Man of Tomorrow, his sequel to the summer blockbuster, will begin filming soon. And what's more, he's confirmed that the movie will indeed feature Superman and Lex Luthor teaming up against a villain that threatens them both.

"It's gonna be out in two years, July 9, 2027, which is a relatively a short time between sequels, because we knew immediately where we were going," Gunn tells Howard Stern on his Sirius XM talk show. "And it is a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together, to a certain degree, against a much, much bigger threat. And it's more complicated than that. It's as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie. I relate to the character of Lex Luthor, sadly."

It's unclear what exactly that threat will be, but teaser art for the film has shown Luthor wearing his famous battle armor alongside Superman. That said, it's very easy to guess who the new villain might be, as the logical conclusion would be Brainiac, a villain who has a contentious history with both Superman and Lex Luthor across media.

That didn't take long to get added to the slate. A live action version of Braniac? IMO it's long overdue.

Gunn wants to strike while the iron is hot and before the WB brass have second thoughts. Remember these are still the same folks that shot an entire streaming film, and then decided to not release it to streaming and make sure it's never seen by the public so they could get a 70 million tax break.
^^^
David Zaslav wasn't the only WB executive who had to okay that decision. He may no longer be the head but a lot of the other executives are still there.
