Don't mess with Texas?

Texas shouldn't mess with California.

No USS Modesto? Brad's hometown gets no respect.

Hadn't been around, but I generally liked this season - I think I liked S2 more, but I think it's mostly because there's a bit of moving away from the jokes and into character development.

I'm slightly disappointed by the whole evil Admiral thing because of the cliche and was hoping they'd do something to subvert that, and Starfleet going all in on AI yet again just seems really silly considering how it never works out for them. But maybe this is yet another tie in to Picard and why there was a ban on AI entirely. :p
(I suppose the tag after the credits is a hint at the "villain" for S4).

I did like the character growth - I think Tendi is probably the best of the four, although I'm looking forward to seeing how T'Len integrates into the cast.

But yeah, it's going to be a long wait...

That was a super fun finale. I am glad we got answers about Rutherford's implant. My favorite moment was when all the California class ships show up to save the day. Considering the episode was about the California class proving its worth to avoid getting shut down, it was fitting to see all the ships of that class come together like that!

A damn fine finale. I know LD isn't for everyone but when this show is good it's fantastic.

If there's a Virginia-class of starships then my home city better be one of the vessels in it. Can't let California get all the exposure even in the late 24th century. ;)

Animated Trek KILLED it this week!!!!

That was one of the best Lower Decks episodes ever, filled with elements of it's past, and I lost it when Shax was ejecting the Warp Core. It's been so long since I've seen anyone that happy. Then you had the California Class teaming up and that episode was fantastic. I'm also glad it was a happier ending than last season. and T'lyn did come back.

Buenamigo rose through the ranks pretty quickly. He was only a Lt. Commander when Rutherford's memory was erased and he's a two- or three-pip Admiral by the time the Texas-class ships are fielded.

Maybe it makes me a petty person, but part of me really wanted to see Mariner curse out Captain Freeman for shipping her off to that crappy starbase and/or sarcastically apologize to the crew for all the "terrible" things she said to that muckraking reporter. I realize that because of her past, it was perhaps understandable that most people on the Cerritos had jumped to the conclusion that Mariner had stabbed them in the backs in "Trusted Sources." Still, she was way more magnanimous about what happened than I would be in her position. If I got treated the way she had been, I don't know if I'd be so keen to return to Starfleet.

I admit, I give them props for the fact Mariner didn't even talk to Jennifer. That bridge is well and truly photon torpedoed.

Her mother almost died dude. No matter how angry you are at your parent, the first instinct is going to be a hug.
