Did Archer ever report or record the events of the Temporal Cold War? Is Daniels, Archer's trip to the Enterprise-J, his trip to the broken future, and the Battle of New York all in Federation records?

My bet would be that he did report it, but it was all so completely classified that pretty much nobody knows about it.

I think he did report it and for all we know the Fed knew all along how things would end but refused to do anything different for fear that altering the Temporal Cold War would jeopardize the entire existence of the Federation. They used Archer's reports as a guide to how it would all work. It was the Temporal Cold War opponents who never knew they were fighting a war that they would lose, but Starfleet knew all along.

Not feeling all the big, maudlin character stuff they're doing every 45 seconds. Burnham's relationship with the rest of Discovery's crew was largely sidelined in season 2 for the sake of pairing her with Spock and/or Pike, but they're gone so now she "loves" and "will always love" what are essentially her office coworkers? Please. And the last time I remember her and Tilly getting any character building scenes together was early season 1. Having Burnham and Tilly get all emotional about how much they mean to each other is paying off character arcs that never happened. This is just....ugh.

Look, Discovery, I really want to like you, and when I do I like you a lot. But you've got some serious issues to work through and I don't know if we can be together until you get them sorted out.

I agree that the show tends to go for unearned emotional moments, but the way it was handled here was, to me, much better than the usual big tears approach. I liked that Burnham was almost conflicted about being back on Discovery.

Last time you remember. There are other instances.

Just off the top of my head: In "Point of Light", Burnham helps Tilly were her seeing Mae and asks if she's ever seen a teenage girl who never knew what crying was. In "Such Sweet Sorrow", Tilly tells Burnham she missed her on the bridge when she said her goodbye, it's about to get emotional, then Tilly shows everyone else who's staying.

Plus keep in mind they shared the same quarters for two seasons.

Also what the heck happened to Earth's sensor network that made it so it has less range then even a single TNG era starship?

Heck, that listening post from episode 1 of the season had like 400+ly short range sensor ranges...

I really enjoyed the episide. Michael is actually...likable. Tilly kinda naied it that one.

Now as to where do we go now. Now if I'm discovery and assuming the trill doesn't have any specific iinfomation, after striking out on earth I'd check out the other founding world of the federation. If they left early those would be the most likely locations. So I think I'd set a course for Vulcan next.

It’ll be on New Romulus.
They’ll go to Trill next so they can get access of the symbiote memories
