Ancient Mariner went on a little photo shoot around town today and this is one of the last shots I took but I really like it.
That shot came out really well, SD! Love the sharpness and contrast. That's from the Fulton Street area, right? Nicely done! Now I'm really going to have to get to processing my photos.
This was taken with a crappy flip phone, but it turned out ok. This is what Hubby and I did this weekend:
Thanks AM! Hubby was really looking forward to it as well. When the Star Trek exhibit came through here you had to buy your photos. We thought this would be the same so we didn't bring a camera. I'm so glad this turned out as well as it did!
Wow, that's a cool shot. I've never been to Grand Central Station even though I've been to New York City.
I like the B&W. It adds a certain amount of mysticism. Grand Central Station is really cool, I go there all the time when I visit NYC. I love to hang out in the great hall and just watch people go by. Plus I like to stay at the Grand Hyatt, which is actually inside the station (and is MUCH better than staying in any hotel in Times Square, for reasons I hope are apparent ).
We decided to do a little Staycation. We ventured up to Old Forge NY, the largest waterpark in the state of NY is here, Water Safari. Of course we made the reservations almost two months ago, when it was hot. Well now it's kinda cold, the high was 71 degrees today. The water was COLD! The forecasted high temperature for tomorrow is 65 degrees. Yikes, the place is awesome but will definitely need to do earlier in summer next time. Here are two pics from the deck of our room.
That's why I carry an extra battery with me, never know when you'll need it. By the way, nice shots everyone.
I actually have a battery grip on my camera which holds two batteries but I neglected to make sure they were both fully charged when I left.
Those are fantastic and gorgeous new photos, everyone! I especially enjoy the frog and the lilly pads.
Tom Hendricks, I love the sky you captured. Very striking! Great shots, Finn! Lovely landscapes (and great close up of the frog).
