Defiance Season 2 Discussion

I'm watching it right now, and this fucking bullshit just happened, and now I want to turn it off.

This was one of the worst examples I have seen.

I think it would have been delightfully kooky if Kendra had ripped the guy's mask off to reveal Pottinger. She wouldn't recognize him, but we'd be like "WTF?". Of course then something would have to happen to keep her from meeting Pottinger later on so as not to ruin the mystery for the Defiance regulars.

^Fantastic idea, much better than the horror movie cliche that was filmed. I kind of wish that this had actually happened on the show instead.

YES I was waiting for the big mask ripping off moment and it turns out to be someone we knew. That it is Pottinger, that would have been excellent. That mask just had "mask ripping off moment" written all over it.

Why would an unleveraged human work for the Voltanis Collective?

Of course how did they find out about the Bomb unless they have spies running around Brazil keeping their ears picked who happen to be Voltan or can pass for Voltan?

What's going to happen to this cult of Irzu or the fiber optic aliens? Irisa couldn't even focus on her mission to find Kenya because she was sidetracked by one of her "victims."

Mahsuvus was a very wanted man. But if he was going to tell the truth anyway, he could've fessed up much sooner and avoided being tortured. That would still put Kenya in danger, but at least the E-Rep wouldn't have to use EGO and Datak wouldn't have had to kill him to protect his secrets.

Maybe Mahsuvus lied. Maybe Berlin is relaying all this info about Union station and the track and everyone is mobilizing and meanwhile, perhaps ABOVE Union station the bomb goes off and kills an extra bunch of E-Rep because of all the ones mobilized below. Maybe Mahsuvus was hanging out as long as possible to give the wrong information. And maybe he knows where everyone in the area would be evacuated to and that is where the bomb is.

He did say Union Station, but is it more honest to say NEW Union station?

Oh.

If Union Station was sunk like Saint Louis was, that would make it more perfect for a subway station... Is Union Station already underground?

Maglevs however I attribute to more above ground travel, although it probably doesn't really matter.

Wikipedia says that there are 4 Union stations in New York, and there used to be 6 (oh look! Another one in New Jersy! (""Little Cathy and Her Magic Cigarettes". And whenever she lights up, she can go anywhere in the whole wide world. Like Arabia or New Jersey!")).

Maybe only one of the 4 Union Stations survived Arkfall?

I remembered it as being underground, but I also only remembered one. And really after Arcfall who knows where it is.

But I think it is possible he lied.

He did say that he didn't agree with the method they were using, and since he knew he was dying he did the right thing.

You would have preferred that New York got fragged?

The war with Brazil can't start till the end of the season which is obviously a new game expansion?

I wonder if the crossdressing sex clubs are part of the game as well?

How these games work, wandering around with a million other dorks, thinking about going on a quest, you;d think that someone could just "open a business" and that that was the business that they opened?

Although I bet on average, the gamers are as embarrassed of the TV show as I am of the game.

It's actually Mesuvis. I missed a bit while I was watching it and checked the recap on the official site, and that was how they spelled it there.

As for the episode, I enjoyed it, but I do agree wasn't one of there best. I'm glad they brought back Kenya. When the season first started figured she was alive, but we had gone so long with no sign of her I was starting to wonder if she was really dead. So I actually was kind of surprised that she turned out to still be alive.

I'm curious to see where they are going with the Irisa arc. They kept referring to Arcrise, so I'm wondering if the Kaziri is supposed to some how reactivate all of the Arcs on Earth and shoot them back into space or something. Maybe the people she's doing whatever she is doing to will be the ones who pilot them?

I wonder if Datak and Stahma are actually going to get back together or if that was just a one time thing? If they do get back together they already set up a possible conflict with them and his/her/their people.

I thought it was the weakest of the season but I won't rest until Kenya is back at the Need Want, I won't rest!!

Actually why did she leave (the actor) anyway? She was a great character, why did they drop her for 2/3 of this season?

Probably a baby.

TV babies are hard to explain and then there's consequences.

"Nolan, the rubber broke, and we're having a starchild!"

There's a ####ing loser Muppet covered in glitter on Glee that calls himself Starchild.

Hipster poser wanker fucktard.

Seriously. A band with 5 singers?

(5 singers, and the actual band who plays the instruments.)

How the #### are they going to make money if they have to split every paying gig 10 ways?

(Wikipedia says no baby, and the word rehab does not seem connected to Mia's name through google.)

So what is Nolan going to do since Kenya is back? Berlin, Amanda, or Kenya? Amanda may have thrown him over for Potty already, though. I have a feeling that Berlin is going to end up ticked off no matter what happens. When are Rafe and Datak going to act to get their town back?

Berlin is the least likely to go the distance.

There's no reason to get his bunny boiled from terminating that "relationship" prematurely.

Speaking of Terminators, if you gave a cowboy some steel cable, they might stand a better chance than anyone else with a shot gun.

How long before Stahma's sensitive nose sniffs out Alak's dalliance? Will she even care, since it seems like the usual Castie male behavior?

Using a Castithan moral compass, if your husband is not cheating, he is weak and therefore unworthy or you, and you are probably be entitled to put him out of his misery.

Is this really a Castithan moral compass or is Stahma balls deep crazy?
