^ I've noticed that also. Makes me think what to craft. I have all 5 characters crafting.

Found how the levels work. On the second page. Within the next 12 hours or so, won't be able research the same project at the same time. No more multiple projects happening at the same time. I wish I found the 20 hour dailies earlier than yesterday. Could had a few level 5 schools happening now.

That's kinda my pet peeve with the new crafting system.

As if the Duty Officer System, 5 personal reputation factions, 4 fleet holdings, annual summer and winter events weren't enough, Cryptic's decided to add another huge time sink to eat up months of our play time. This isn't playing STO, this is waiting STO. I just wish they would spend more time adding re-playable content.

^It's not as bad as these "world-builder" games where you have to wait for energy to replenish over real time before you can do anything... sucks you right out of the game world to suddenly have "You have no more energy, wait x minutes or pay $y for more energy to be able to play the game." You can at least replay the storyline missions in STO.

I hope they do something exploration-y for the new expansion... we need something repeatable that's not just grind.

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed by that change. If they want people to use the new crafting system, they should let people take it at their own pace and in their own way, rather than limiting their options.

I'm still on the fence about the new changes. On one hand, I actually like the new 'exploration' bits which are now assignments for duty officers to either relocate colonists, look into spacial thingys, etc....On the other hand, there are things like crafting which I'm confused about. (So, we don't actually have to buy our equipment? We can craft them?)

I have like two more official missions before my toon is 'done' with the story part....but there is a lot that I need to do before I put attention on another. For example, I am working on getting to Tier II for the New Romulus reputation since there is an area I've yet to go - the Underground Mountains. I am also trying to get the Multi-Mission Sci Vessel because I want to use dual cannons - or at least have a choice between cannons or beams.

I am also working on my Zen. I want TOS uniforms for my toon and 'boffs' - they already look sharp in their Odyssey outfits, but I want an alternative - and I'm working on my aforementioned sci-vessel, and a token to retrain my toon. (Around 3, 550 Zen total, and I have around 388). Hence, the missions I do continually are the Defera missions, or I exchange marks - usually Romulan - for dilithium which I can change to Zen daily. (It's kinda sucks you can only change 8, 000 dilithium per day).

I'm slowly but surely trying to figure out how to raise the critical severity and my critical chance on the ground. Every pretty much has a 50% crit. severity (or higher, depending on the armor) but the crit. chance is low.

Thankfully it ain't as limiting as I thought it would be. Doing multiple 20 hour dailies, just in different schools.

^ I'm doing that too, but I'd still they rather have not added the restriction

Especially since the change leveling a school to level 20 goes from about a month to about a year.

Ironically on the forums people were complaining that the price changes were to make crafting more appealing than the fleet stores and the reputation stores, and now with the dilithium price cut and the year long crafting grind the fleet and rep stores are still more appealing than crafting.

Quick question... Did the Romulans not get new uniforms like the Feds and Kilngons?

The Romulans basically came with their uniforms.

I posted at updated version of my dilithium guide over at the STO forums but it quickly fell to the fifth page. I added some KDF specific items, but am sure I missed plenty due to the fact that I don't play my KDF character for anything more than DOff marauding.

Here is a link with the most recent changes. If you feel like providing a comment to keep it on the front page there until the weekend is over I certainly wouldn't mind.

Since I have many characters, I figured the best way to approach crafting is to let each character focus on a different school of research. :)

So, I can't log into the game anymore.

For some reason the PW clients (game, forum, website, arc) don't recognize my account name.

just this error message: This Email/user name is not registered for an Arc games account.

    lovely!

    :scream:

Let's hope for a small miracle that PW customer support can offer a fast solution!

Edit: never mind, was able to rest the password and their stupid system doesn't recgonize the periods in my email adress.

Yeah, the first thing that struck me was how close it was to those resource-type games (I guess) that tend to be for smartphones, like the Simpsons app. I suppose the devs needed to add something to the game, but waiting for resources to build other things seems a tad unoriginal and a bit cumbersome to me.

Noticed something funny, when I went to look at my other fleet. There was a count down for when the flag officer would be demoted. He hasn't logged in for about 2 weeks.

Not sure if it's demotion, exactly, but if a leader doesn't log in after a certain amount of time, it allows someone else in the fleet to claim control, just so the rest of the fleet isn't screwed if the leader quit or something.

Ok... I just spent 30 mil for a plasmonic leech console as I understand it's probably the 2nd most valuable console in the game... give or take... at least it better be for the money!

Anyways, I'm running my engineer with the MACO set using tetryon weapons... I also understand the plasmonic leech conflicts with the MACO set so I'm on the hunt for a new ship set....

Question is, which set will compliment my loadout... Nukara? 8472? Something else? Which will compliment the leach and my tetryons?

Or should I use a combination of sets, but then I'd loose out on a fell set bonus...

I'll miss my MACO set but I want the get the most out of what I'm using.

It's something else. I'm likely to take over control of the Australian fleet with my Jackie character. Hopefully I can get some group missions happening at night, when most Aussies are online.
