It's a fun read, an interesting alternate take on the early days of the Federation, written at a time before Enterprise was even a gleam in Rick Berman's eye (Mike wrote it in 1999, two years prior to the show's debut).

It's been on my list of trek books to track down for some time. Hopefully I can find it soon
