2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

If some guy with a stupid feather crown was sitting in front of me the whole game, I would go berserk. On the other hand there seem to be plenty of free seats in the stadium.

The 1st half wasn't very exciting and the Netherlands were disappointing.

The score isn't scandalous at all. Except maybe a litigious penalty not given to the Netherlands. Bah...
 
Yeah, they're definitely worried. Mexico is playing much better.

Can some Italian poster (i.e., the of two you) fill me in on what's going on with Mario Balotelli? My (distant) Italian relatives posted some angry open letter written to him that may or may not be racist, but I don't have enough context to understand.
 
I understand about rules but I kinda feel like it is wrong to give a penalty kick when it is just 1-2 mn from the end (unless it is a really flagrant foul) since you are essentially giving a win to the other team. Clearly, it was a foul but was it a serious foul deserving of a yellow card? Shouldn't the judges air on the side of "no penalty kick" if possible so as not to give the win to the other team?

I've wondered a lot whether it would be a good idea to move the spot of the penalty kick back to give the goalkeeper a bit more of a chance to make saves. Maybe to the top of the box or, if not, to the spot that's halfway between the current spot and the top of the box.

I was going to mention this yesterday, but, of course, that ended up being an awesome penalty kick full of successful saves, which would have made me look like an idiot ;)
 
Lovely goal by Ruiz and I did a £10 yesterday that had Brazil, Holland, France, Argentina and Germany all to make the last 8...

I chicken out of adding Columbia & Costa Rica to that bet, wish I had now :(

I was just laughing at that, too. 3 of their players lurking in offside positions waiting for a pass. They'd really have a chance against 10 Costa Ricans if they weren't so fucking terrible. :rofl:
