In the lap of squalor I assure you.
Every time some one travels through time, a new future is created, no matter how subtly different or mostly the same.

Which begs the question, if from the prison where liberate was attemptedly executed, while everyone was out side of time, because they left simultaneously, but from Elana forward, it created new futures that would only exist forever until the heat death of the universe until another time traveler arrived well before the end and kicked it off course to create a new end of the universes trillions of years form 21st century Earth.

Jason created a new timeline from the one Elana made, then Kiera and Liber8 created a new timeline from the one Jason made, then Nagame created a new timeline from the one Kiera and Liber8 made, then Ryan Robbins created a new timeline from the one Nagame made, then Alec created a new timeline from the one Robbins made, and then kiera created a new timeline from the one Alec made.

Dylan's daughters is on Continuum and Falling Skies... So is Ryan Robbins.

    Are they dating?

Or do they just have the same agent?

What the heck. Who is this spooky dread dude that reanimates the dead?!

Yeah, freelancer from a thousand years in the future.

Now, I'm confused. Exactly when did we see him before? Or how was he mentioned before?

That was my thought too

It is the special canadian cabin for rustic scenes. All of them.

No, he's from a thousand years in the past. We don't know what time he came from originally, or even which timeline. Apparently it's a timeline in which immortality is an option, though.

We haven't seen him before, but he was casually mentioned when the Freelancers were first properly introduced. He's their founder.

They mentioned him as setting up this time cop "religion" a thousand years ago, but I do not recall them saying that he was still alive and on site.

Besides, a thousand years ago in Vancouver?

It's more likely that he put his boots on the ground in Europe and assimilated Abbies and outbound Missions towards unknown quarters.

    How old is Cathrine?

    He calls her his jailer.

Unless the position is generational, is it possible that he has been keeping her alive since the middle ages?

    ^that's a good question.

I think the guy needed a little more build up.

I had a brilliant (in my mind anyway) idea as to how he reanimates the dead. He manipulates the time the corpses matter exists in until it is again alive. Something with nanoprobes (chronoprobes) as he is now connected to the reanimated ones and they are a part of him.

He's finally definitively been told about time travel.

Julian is going to stick his foot up Alec's ass.

Why wasn't Kiera using her own gun this week? Would have been a better weapon to use on the Freelancers.

I just love this series, but I hate it when they kill of one of my favorite actresses/characters...

But, this is a time travel series, so anything can happen.

    Fingers crossed.

Her gun needs power to work.

It checks her dna/fingerprints before every shot, deciding about whether she is verified or not and if she needs a good jolt. Also the collapsability function. If you drain the battery, is it just going to fall to pieces?

If she goes against freelancers, they drain it of power, and it's a doorstop.

I was thinking it might be like when the Borg adapt so you bash them with hunks of wood instead.

    THE FINALE

OH that was fantastic, very very good! Great ending, I love how they flip what is going on at the end of each series!! Kiera and Liber8 and all kinds of strange bedfellows, now with a very formidable enemy. And Dylan didn't die!

What was Emily up to? She obviously wanted to get caught. She made no attempt to hide her face and she seemed to expect it.

At first I thought she was meant to be a diversion so blondie could get away, but later everyone was surprised she got caught.

So how exactly did they get Jason onboard with the switch plan?

In the flashback to the Traveller reviving Curtis, they said that he "merged" Curtis -- which I would take to mean merging the dead Curtis from one timeline with the live Curtis from another. As soon as I heard that, I was expecting that to be the Chekhov's Gun setting up the merging of the two Alecs by the end of the episode. I'm surprised it didn't play out that way, that both Alecs are still around.

So... looks like the Liber8 story is pretty much over, although everyone but Sonya is still alive (I'm going to miss Lexa Doig). The Freelancers are defunct too, except for Curtis, but he has his own agenda. Dillon seems to be out of the picture for good; too bad about Brian Markinson, but Dillon had become pretty much irredeemable this season. Not sure where Kiera and Carlos stand now. I hope they find a way to bring Carlos out of his funk, but now that Brad and Kiera seem to be partners, maybe Carlos is a third wheel now and will either go in some other direction or leave altogether.

Whatever the case, this is a pretty clear ending and a new beginning. If and when the show returns, it will be with a new status quo.

I got the impression that with Dillon incapacitated, Carlos is acting chief inspector. He almost said as such comparing himself to Commissioner Gordon and Kiera to Batman.

Oops, I spoiled myself by reading this thread too soon. I thought last week's episode in the US was the finale, but there's one more to come.
