With no crowds for this one, I saw it again, this time in an AMC prime theater (with awesome accommodations). I still think the first two thirds were relatively strong, despite the fact that most of that time was simply a chase movie, and the plot wasn't as complicated as it appeared. The second act was almost entirely made up attempts to kill Captain America. I also don't know how he kept getting his shield back. How did he get it before they went to NJ, or before the final battle against the poorly CGI'd helicarriers with video game-like MacGuffin's. There is one move in particular during the gunfire scene on the bridge were he flips over his shield and winds up in a spot physics wouldn't have allowed him to be.

Also noted was how "off" some of the performances were. Johanasen's delivery of her lines wasn't good, she spoke hoarsely and I could barely hear her. Redford teleported in from the set of another movie, and none of his dialogue seemed to fit the MCU, whether he's mentioning incidents in other countries or things that most of the younger fans would have to Google later (like earmarks) he was written as too broad a character.

I think anotehr problem was the editing. How did they get out if that mall? The kiss alone wasn't enough for me considering how many people were looking for them. How did they get out of the NJ base, considering how many guys showed up looking for them?

The best moment in the film was Shandling scene. The climax was a cartoon in a movie that tried to tread the ropes of a more practical, political thriller.

Most of the one shots had been leading towards the invention of the S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show.

Now all the actors that used to be on those mini movies except Clark, are dead or Hydra.

Maybe it was the Hydra component of the World Security Council/S.H.I.E.L.D. that forced through the nuking of New York in Avengers?

Of course it's equally possible that Hydra opposed the idea and lost.

I hate Scarlett as Black Widow. I always imagined Natasha as someone like Famke Janssen back in the day; someone tall and slender and exotic. I also dislike her acting style which is so laid back it may as well be horizontal.

What did 'All Hail the King' have to do with any of the TV projects exactly? It was just a funny little side story that served as an excuse for Kingsley to chew the scenery again with his wonderfully entertaining performance and...
introduce the twist that (double-psyke!) there *really* is a real Mandarin...and he's pissed.
Which was great and it's a pitty they're not doing another one. You'd think they'd be able to do a little skit with Darcy or something. Maybe (off the top of my head) a piss-take of one of those ridiculous ghost/bigfoot hunting shows that has them running into a certain green bloke with anger issues....or anything really.

Hell, an AoS minisode would have done it in a pinch!.

Felix Blake's critically wounded, not dead. We don't know if he's Hydra or not.
Plus don't forget Bennie and Claire. They were civilians.
Is Claire Lizzy Caplan? She's on Masters of Sex, so it might be hard to ahold of her. Although these are short enough she could probably do one if she had few days break. The same is true of Kat Dennins whose on 2 Broke Girls, although she did come back for The Dark World, so it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.
