I used to be forced into being the desi for all my colleagues as I am the only one at my office who doesn't drink any alcohol. I solved the problem in an admittedly diabolic way: traditionally, the driver supplies the music from which the others may choose. You'd be surprised how sober people can stay if given a choice between Shakespeare's sonetts and Chinese opera
