Ah, thanks guys. It must have been the "science-y" bit of his job that tricked my memory of him.

And I'll take the fact that Christopher hasn't provided a list as confirmation that we rarely if ever saw anyone else working at STAR Labs.... ;)

^I have the impression we occasionally saw colleagues of Tina's as guest stars, but I haven't rewatched my DVDs in a few years. I think there was something about her late husband being a fellow STAR researcher who was killed in an experiment. And I think we saw the lab's security personnel once or twice. In any case, though, Tina had her own private lab that she operated alone, as unlikely as that is.

It's too bad the original Flash series got cancelled because they pulled Tina's husband's death straight from the Wally West Flash comic book which was out at the time. I believe it had something to do with super speed as well. I'm sure a second season would have seen Tina's husband turn up.

I also think she had a colleague who turned into some kind of werewolf, but I'm a little hazy on the details.

John Wesley Shipp, who was cast in a mystery role in the CW pilot in February, will play Barry Allen’s dad, Henry, on the upcoming series, TVLine has learned.

It'd be kinda cool if they could find a way to bring Amanda Pays into the show as well.

And Alex Désert, and Joyce Hyser, and Mike Genovese, and Biff Manard and Vito D'Ambrosio. Even Richard Belzer and Dick Miller, if they're still active.

Unfortunately I think Mark Hamill is going to be a little busy for the next couple of years...

Mark is committed to the character, or someone is manipulating him well, otherwise he wouldn't have reprised the role for JLA Animated... If they ask him, he will come.

In the Jay and Silent Bob Animated movie that came out a couple weeks ago, Kevin Smith stopped the movie to personally and empatically apologise to the audience that they had ran out of money and couldn't afford Mark Hamill to reprise the roll of Cockknocker, so they got some My Little Pony celebrity voice actor to do it instead.

A pre-air rip is making the rounds if you know where to look.

    Very entertaining. :)

Yeah, that was a great episode. A little clunky and some forced dialog in parts, but that's understandable for a pilot. This series has the potential to be even greater than Arrow.

Interesting. I'll wait to watch it on my TV I think.

As pilots go, they set the stage and introduced elements that will most definitely pay off in seasons to come.

I enjoyed the introduction of "Metahumans" into the Arrowverse and feel confident that we'll get to see more and more "Powers" showing up now that the cat is out of the bag.

As long as they can maintain the tone of realism within a fantastic universe, I think everything will work out just fine.

    ...and that ending!

Why do all the (contemporaries of Barry's) actors look so young?

They're supposed to be early 20s, but they all look 15?

You're gonna love this: up here in Canada, all three shows have their broadcast rights held by the same TV network: BellMedia's CTV arm. I think CTV would be annoyed by any attempt to put SHIELD into direct competition with any DC-derived show on the US side of the border. They likely couldn't stop the decision from being taken, but it would annoy them.

Can I just suggest that for those of you using alternate means to watch the pilot early that you use spoiler code for any episode details not already made available from watching the trailer. Nothing has been given away so far but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks! :)

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying it, but I'm going wait and watch it legally.
We also have a premiere date now for when we will be able to do exactly that, October 7th.

I wouldn't mind seeing it early, but hell. I can't even keep up with shows I like that are on tv now. :/

I just caught Arrow for the first time this season last night, because wife and I were both home at the same time and nothing "better" was on.

    I really, really liked it.

So far, it seems like its DC's best attempt at a television show in a very long time. While they made some changes here and there, the brunt of the story is there, Barry actually is the Flash (as opposed to whoever the fuck was in Smallville; it sure as hell wasn't Supes), there's tons of potential for the villians, several of his rogue's gallery have already made an appearance (or at least have been hinted at; I loved the sign in Star Labs especially), and they're even including some of the cooler aspects of recent comics in the story from the very start.

All in all, looking forward to seeing what they do with it. It's not going to be a boring emofest like Arrow, and it doesn't look to be a teen emofest like Smallville, so it's already miles ahead of the pack.

I think we're just getting old. Their ages:
    Barry (24)
    Iris (26)
    Caitlin (26)
    Cisco Ramon ( ?)
    Eddie Thawn ( 31)
