I'm enjoying reading it. I actually like that it's a pair of nobodies who did it. And there's an implication that someone is behind them who maybe more famous.

People had guessed it was Midas weeks before the event.

I've fallen behind in my reading.
Just read Moon Knight #3 last night. Felt like an odd one off issue while perhaps leaving a few lines of dialogue to maybe mean something else down the road. Am I to understand that Spector wore some kinda of Khonshu helmet in addition to his MK costume or was that Khonshu fighting in Spectors place looking like MK? I had no feelings of disappointment or elation having finished that issue. *sigh*

Well it's only a six issue run anyways.

If that were to happen, it would mark the end of my collecting comics.

Currently Marvel is doing terribly editorially. Both Waid and Ellis are off Hulk and Moon Knight at #5 and #6 respectively. And Gillen will be off Iron Man soon. I suspect Remender will follow on Cap. I could definitely see them resorting to a temporary reboot ala Heroes Reborn.

Ugh. Please, please, please do not reboot. I really don't like the New 52 Reboot. Marvel is doing so well right now. They're the top of the pack.

Seriously. Marvel is so good right now, while DC is largely (with a few notable exceptions) is mountain of "meh".

It's 4:40AM PST where I am right now, so I'm not going to dig up the links, but Waid is leaving Hulk so he can get further ahead on Daredevil (He also said to be involved in some capacity with the DD TV show), Gillen is leaving Iron Man for another, bigger, Marvel project, and Moon Knight is simply ending due to sales (What? Moon Knight isn't selling well? No!).

JD I posted that a few days ago in the thread.

The official presser states that Marvel is getting ready to do something they've never done in their 75 year history. Which of course has furthered the speculation about a reboot.

Tom Brevoort has been steadfast in his denials that they're not going to reboot their continuity.

The fact is though that whatever they've been planning since their big creative summit which kickstarted Marvel Now has been leading to something huge. Each of these "events" are a little piece of the bigger puzzle.

^Original Sin and Infinity reported are all bookends for Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers.

But Moon Knight is selling very well. If MK is cancelled why aren't the new X-Force, Loki, Black Widow, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Ghost Rider or Fantastic Four titles not cancelled then because MK is selling well above most of these recent relaunch titles. Perhaps you should come up with a better explanation not dependent on sales because it's clearly not the explanation unless you believe Marvel now wants to punish success.:guffaw:

As for Iron Man I'll just point out Marvel was hyping it up to be the equivalent of Moore's run on Swamp Thing. His exit is very much admitting the critical failure of his run.

^ Yep they are...but they're also part of the larger picture which is why Age of Ultron was retooled as it was i.e. broken time, etc.

"Time Runs Out" is no doubt part of this as well as the end of Hickman's "Avengers" run.

What? Three issues in they barely have any sales data at all. Is this true? Also, wasn't Ellis original PR release that he'd be on the book for a year?

I flipped through Original Sin #2(not buying it) and the last page shows
Orb of low rent Ghost Rider foes as one of the "master" villains of this "event". Did I follow that correctly?

    1) Ellis's departure is undoubtedly not due to sales. Sales is just the convenient explanation Marvel has latched on. But the sales for MK are very good better than most of the launched titles in the recent 2-5 month window. It outsells the newest volume of Wolverine.

    2) The character you mentioned is reported to be Aaron's favorite villain.

I guess everyone has a favorite. He is visually cool and if boosts him up a bit all the better I suppose.

I couldn't find any link that explicitly said MK is cancelled just that Ellis' run is ending on Moon Knight. This one for example.

I was under the impression for some reason that it was a mini or limited series. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.

No I believe it was advertised as an ongoing or at least a comic that was going to be more than 6 issues.

And Iron Patriot seems to have been stealth cancelled. Despite having no reboot, Marvel is acting more and more like DC during their headless chicken phase following Flashpoint.

This was actually my impression as well. "Cancelled" was a poor choice of words on my part. The owner of my LCS said there was little interest in it.
