Star Trek Into Darkness deleted scenes

Still think that shower scene was a joke, not a real deleted scene. Cumberbatch looking all angry, taking a shower in slow motion, with exaggerated music. Surely they can't be serious.

I don't know, seems like the kind of thing that qualifies as a "dramatic moment" for these movies.

Everyone came back from Kronos grubby except Khan, and he looked worst of all on the planet. I wonder if it was originally intended for us to see him arrive in a state and then clean himself up.

There was obviously some such footage, but I figured what they showed on Conan was likely joked up with the slow motion and music.

Here's Tyson's reaction to the clip "Vengeance Falling To Earth"

And Thomas has a message to Admiral Marcus from John Ericson?

And nuKirk comes off as an even greater jerk in those deleted scenes. Blatantly lying in the Captain's Log, and totally screwing up nUhuras negotiation with the Klingons (which I actually liked, strange).

Glad to see those scenes, but they made the right choice in keeping them out. The Captains log thing is ridiculous especially since it removes the possibility of Spock not knowing about it since Kirk recorded it in public in front of Uhura.

The board rules state that images embedded in a post should be hosted on your own web space or on an image-sharing account registered to you, and that you are not supposed to hotlink images from web space belonging to others unless they have explicitly granted you permission to do so. You know this because I personally have explained it to you before on more than one occasion. Since I'm reasonably certain that "www.reactiongifs.us" is not your own personal web space or image-sharing account, you now have a warning for a violation of the board policy concerning the posting of images.

Comments to PM.

Edited to add: That website apparently encourages hotlinking of their images, so infraction is reversed. Move along; nothing to see here. - M'

I can see why it was cut, but I really do like the "Captain's Log" scene. "Carols Accent" is a nice easter egg for WoK fans, but not really relevant to ID. And it's hard to tell without music, but the look Kirk and the little girl share in "The Harewoods" seems like it might have been a Khan-blood-has-changed-us-and-you-feel-it-too sequel hook.

I liked the shot of Enterprise hovering over the volcano from the perspective of the Niburuians, too bad they didn't still use that.

That "Upside-down Enterprise" was also cool - I had seen it before as it was used to open that History Channel "science of Trek" show. I think they should have kept that entire sequence in the movie as well, as it apperared to explain why the Klingons didn't detect the ship: it was hiding in a nebula.

I'm so glad deleted scenes from the bizzare XBox release finally surfaced. I was also happy to see someone put together [nope] with unreleased stuff, inc. deleted scenes. Can you imagine, after [nope]. The copy of this set can be found on sites like [nope]... Hopefully ST XII wont make me go through all this extras hunting nonsense.

Trekker Thomas, that's the second time in this thread you've made me edit things out of one of your posts. We do not discuss means of obtaining unlicensed (illegal) copies of copyrighted material (see FAQ) and particularly not when the copyright-holder is Paramount Pictures (as it may move their legal department to send us unfriendly letters of the "cease and desist" sort.)

Please don't do that again.

What are the unreleased promos? Surely any bootleg knockoff consists only of what's available online?

The bootlegs I've seen appear to have just been assembled from random stuff likely found online.

Oddly enough, while one did contain the Xbox deleted scenes, I'm pretty sure it didn't have the Target or Best Buy exclusives.

I know this issue has already been addressed but I wanted to ask if there are any news. Everybody knows the mess that Paramount / Bad Robot did with the Into Darkness bonus materials.

Now the retailer exclusive contents have surfaced on YouTube (BestBuy http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9atKvjNjsTQsbn5eEpWGag, Target http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3ZK2oodTxYhXaMz6N2Zm1g/search?query=stid) and on Daily Motion (BestBuy http://www.dailymotion.com/KUInternational), but to me the most interesting extra contents have always been the deleted/alternate scenes.

We know that there are 10 of these in the XBox edition within the SmartGalss Experience, and they are:

Deleted Scene: Captain's Log (0:44)
Alternate Scene: Original Ending of Pike's Office (1:51)
Deleted Scene: Thomas Calls Marcus (0:46)
Deleted Scene: Kirk Watches Pike Get Shot (0:48)
Extended Scene: Klingon Conversation (1:18)
Deleted Scene: Kronos Fight Before Khan Arrives (0:42)
Unused Footage from Dailies: Khan Walking Back and Forth in Brig (0:19)
Deleted Scene: Carol's Accent Explained (0:21)
Deleted Scene: Scotty Talking to Hangar control (0:47)
Deleted VFX Scene: Vengeance Falling to Earth (0:19)

So, does anyone have them? Does anyone know where to get them?
(well, aside from buying an Xbox, an iPad, and the movie itself which I couldn't do even if I wanted to since it’s only for US territory).

Best,
Maab

Thanks, for posting this thread.:)

They should have given the Enterprise a cloaking device.
