Worf-Selar Romance

^ Yes Willsbabe, provided they didn't castrate the male characters à la Voyager!

Did they? I'm only half way through season 3 and all seems well. Did it happen more when Seven came along? (I'm not really looking forward to her arrival.)

Give Seven of Nine a fair chance. As a man who puts VOY at the bottom of my favorite series list, I thought Seven was an inspired character. The fact that Ryan is a beauty didn't hurt but the part would have worked with any actress (or actor for that matter). There is a lot of latent jealousy, just because of her attractiveness and the catsuit.

This thread and the one about Susan Gibney, and the one about Tasha being hated gets me thinking about what the Enterprise would have looked like with Selar as CMO long term, Susan Gibney as Troi and Denise Crosby sticking with TNG and developing Yar long term. Interesting stuff.
That would be a very interesting look to the show.

If I had any skill for photomanipulations, I'd give such a line up a bash.

I have heard this before, many years ago, now. Seen odd then, seems odd now. Just can't see it myself!

I agree. Worf did not do well with Deanna Troi, and I think she and Dr. Selar were fairly similar in personalities.

And, as telepaths, I'm surprised either one of them would even want to approach a Klingon!

Well don't forget that despite being Klingon, Worf learned from his childhood years among humans to expertly manage his Klingon temper. Perhaps Deanna Troi found that to be admirable. And Deanna isn't a full telepath, her regular psionic ability is only empathy. She can only telepathically communicate with compatible full telepaths or those close to her like her mother or Riker.
