2014 MLB Season: How Many Pitchers Will Die For Our Sins?

I don't see anything wrong with Adams going after that park. Being on the tarp is still in play. Those were asshole Red fans.

I had a look at the Nationals Ground Rules. You can't bring a chair onto the field of play. Quirky.

Fair play, but the fans have equal claim to it once it's past the plane of the stands. And since it's the opposing team, you try and make the play. If it's your guy in the field, you try and let him get it. Pretty standard...

In news that should surprise absolutely no one, Mark Teixeira has strained the hamstring that he tore four years ago and is heading back to New York for an MRI.

This puts the Yankees infield as: 1B Kelly Johnson / 2B Brian Roberts / SS Derek Jeter / 3B Yangervis Solarte ... and we all know that Roberts is a ticking time bomb.

Yes, the Reds fan was a total jackass.

And to think I was pissed when the Red Sox didn't get him back in the 2008-09 offseason. Dodged a bullet there.

I know it's not sustainable, but the Giants have more Home runs than anyone else in the league this year, with 9 so far. Last year it took them 16 games to get to 9 Home Runs. The fact that they are hitting the ball all over Dodger Stadium is great too. I'm trained to expect slumps every now and then, but what the Giants have shown in the first week of the season leaves me slightly excited.

Jameson Taillon needs Tommy John.

Well, Tx and Robertson on the DL.... the 2 spots we really don't have any depth in.

Tanaka has pitched pretty well, facing 2 of the East's toughest line-ups striking out 18 and going 1 & 0.

Nova is turning in to AJ. I swear, what's with all these head cases...

CC has to learn to change his pitching style. The books still out on that one. 2nd outting much better than first.

Pineda pitched very well, and the offense didn't show up.

Kuroda continues to be the ace, and the Yankees continue to not support him.

Interesting season for sure.

Is there something about catchers that makes managers always want to put them at first?

C and 1B don't generally require a lot of mobility, same reason that the Twins moved Mauer over to 1B (although the bigger reason is that one more concussion will end Mauer's career).

Edit: Yanks, we should have bet money on this:

No reason to expect that Tex won't be an every day player.

None whatsoever.
