2014 MLB Season: How Many Pitchers Will Die For Our Sins?

7 innings in and Jays fans have realized four things:

1) It'd be nice to have the fun, energetic, spark plug that is Jose Reyes; too bad the Jays acquired the injury prone Jose Reyes.
2) That R.A. Dickey is a pitcher that had one good season, after which the Jays paid way too much to acquire and are now stuck with an over the hill mediocre ace.
3) The owners owned channel, Sportsnet, is nothing but a propaganda network with their countless openings of players in victory poses and intense poses, none of which are actually seen on the field.
4) This season will be infinitely worse than last.

I am honestly sad that Jose Reyes is already broken.

I also disagree with the idea that Dickey had "one good season." The dude clowned the NL for a few years. He just shouldn't have gone to the AL, since hitters already knew how to beat an aging Wakefield.

He had two winning seasons for the Mets, the first of which was two wins over being a .500 year. He spent the majority of his career floating around being a bottom of the rotation guy who would've faded into mediocrity if he didn't figure out the knuckleball. Even then, he has nothing else in his arsenal to fall back on. Putting all his money in one pitch is a recipe for failure.

Cubs challenge first and promptly lose. Braves make a challenge and win. Anything else interesting happen replay wise?

Holy ARod, Palmeiro vintage Rangers!!!

If the partisans think the last two campaigns have seen us gradually heading down the slippery slope from our salad day, just wait till they get a load of these golden oldies.

The Texans need their DL hurlers to be back on the beam as quickly as possible as they filter back or else this season is going to get real ugly, real quick!!! :wtf:

The only statistic more worthless than pitcher wins is RBI.

What the hell is a Yangervis Solarte? Yankees get some points for strong name tools, I'll give them that.

Can't wait to get home and see Aaron Harang start a major league baseball game in the year 2014 (as a number three starter no less). I have a feeling this is going to be a long season.

Well, the Blue Jays pulled that save out of their ass, didn't they. I was sweating in the 8th and 9th.

And he takes a scoreless no hitter into the seventh. I'll take it.
