I'm still trying to figure out what this thread is about so I can determine whether it should be closed or moved to Misc.
I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"Such a matrix might result in crossing streams which might unleash a Beetlejuice factor of unparallelled proportions. Unless, there is some subspatial distortion in hyperspace which could create an entrance to an alternate universe that that might cause a cosmic implosion. Sounds risky.
It would be bad.
Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Silvercrest.I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"It would be bad.

Frankly, I've never quite figured that one out. All life as in ALL life on Earth? All life in the universe? Regardless, you'd think having every molecule in your body explode would be small potatoes by comparison. Not to mention a little redundant.
Or did he just mean YOUR life? Odd phrasing for an odd duck.
Still, RIP, Egon. Here's to you.
To (tenuously) connect this back to the OP: I bet Egon could have constructed an EMF probe capable of measuring someone's life-force departing.
Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms.Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
With respect to what this means, the takeaway I've always gotten from this is that it would be bad.
I always assumed it meant the streams would create a closed loop, feeding back into each other and well, pouring a plasma stream directly into back nuclear power packs.
That would be kind of bad, and cause exploding alright.
