Isn't that pretty much a given? That's why they call them rough drafts. Even "final" drafts routinely get rewritten, and further changes can be made in shooting, editing, and dubbing.

I wonder what a show would be like if they didn't do those things. You get one draft to write the script. Each scene must be shot in a single take.

See TNG: "The Neutral Zone." It was produced during the 1988 writers' strike and thus had to be shot from a rough draft. And it shows. I'm sure they got to do multiple takes, of course, but I'm not sure how much they would've been allowed to change lines on set.

Each scene must be shot in a single take.

See any recording of a live production. They were common in '50s TV, and there have been a few attempts since then to do live episodes of various shows. See also early videotaped productions like the first several seasons of Doctor Who. They didn't have much in the way of video editing tools, so they had to shoot each episode straight through like a live broadcast and were only permitted to take a maximum of three recording breaks per episode in case of a major error that required a retake or a change of scenery that couldn't be done live (e.g. characters moving from the interior to the exterior of the TARDIS).

I love the styling! Donal Logue is a terrific actor, I hope Bullock is featured more prominently than he was in Batman TAS (which I loved).

Oh, Bruno Heller better bring his A-game, because I don't remember being this hyped about a TV show in a long time.

Despite not liking the whole idea of this show, Sean Pertwee as Alfred has piqued my interest.

I still think it'll basically boil down to a load of origin stories without the costumes. Like Smallville..

But with the interesting twist that the main viewpoint will be that of a supporting character, Gordon, rather than the future superhero himself. And without the crutch of "meteor freaks" to fall back on.

Anyway, TV is a "What have you done for me lately?" business. If the makers of Gotham intend to copy any other DC series, it won't be Smallville, which ended three years ago, but Arrow. Arrow is a show that features comics characters quite heavily, often enormously reinterpreted, but fit into the show's world so effectively that viewers are generally fine with it.
