Fox Developing "Gotham" Young Jim Gordon Series

Donal Logue has played a very ruthless character on Sons of Anarchy so I think he's a good choice for Bullock. I can see him as Bullock more than I can see him as Gordon in any case.

Oh, I'm not questioning his ability to play the role. I'm just saying it's not something I personally would've expected given the limited experience I have with his work.

Logue is the only cast member announced so far that I have more than a passing familiarity with, but I've really liked him in the other roles I've seen him in, so I'm happy.
And I have no clue who he is. :p

An io9 writer's take on the pilot script isn't necessarily something one should put too much stock in. Plus it looks like it's not the final draft of the pilot script that the writer read.

I read the article last week when it was originally posted, and I'm pretty sure the guy who wrote the article on IO9 said outright that he didn't know how legit what he read really was.

Good casting for Selina. She has a striking look and a dance background, which should help lend the character the graceful movement she needs. She's a year older than the actor playing Bruce.

Yeah, very good choice for Selina. Her eyes are downright catlike (my cat Tasha had the same kind of two-color irises). Although her face reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer, whereas my tastes in Catwomen run more in a Newmar/Hathaway direction.

If her Pfeifferesque looks were a factor, that suggests they're drawing on a range of influences, since we already know they were looking for a "young Michael Caine" type for Alfred.

It doesn't mean Heller specifically looked for someone with Pfeifferesque looks, though.

God damn, I can already see the impending fanboy frustration... As good as this show may prove to be (and I have high hopes), it's highly unlikely that there's ever going to be that ultimate payoff we'll all secretly yearn for. I mean, it could go on for ten seasons, and were still never going to see Bruce become Batman.
