Fantastic Four reboot-- Casting, Rumors, Pix, ect;

Possible list of contenders for the role of Doctor Doom. Unsurprisingly, given how young the FF are, they're also on the youthful side. I'm familiar with 3 of them anyway and while they're not obvious choices, I'd say that they bring a bit more clout and cred than Julian McMahon did.

Not sure what the make of that. The Bleeding Cool guy does seem to get a fair amount of legitimate info though, so it isn't totally out of the realm of possibility.

You might think that but the new cast is actually around the same age's as the first cast in 2005

Ioan Gruffudd was 31--------Miles Teller is 27

Jessica alba was 23 -------Kate Mara is 31

Evans was 23-------Michael B jordan is 27

Chiklis was 41

The cast looked good in stills.

Really good.

Ioan couldn't act for shit, or he was directed wrong, and the script sucked.

So, Miles Teller says that the script is 'grounded.'

Now, it doesn't do to take actors' comments too much at face value but surely a film called 'FANTASTIC Four' by definition ought not to be grounded? I'm all for grounded when Batman or Daredevil are involved but a superhero team who includes a man made of rock, a human fireball and a real life stretch Armstrong? If ever there was a superhero film that doesn't have to be grounded, then this must be a contender.
Grounded? OK. Retitle this film The Interesting Four.

If you cast Stan Lee as Nathaniel Richards, and make him the lead and the star and the focus of the story, the movie writes itself (Okay, Mark Waid wrote it, but fuck it, Marvel owns his work... ) as he's zipping about through time encountering Reed and his friends at varying different points in their development, that they get aged in different directions and go through weird fashion and hair and we see different eras in the back ground, as well as Franklin and Valeria, but there's only one problem...

Can Stan Lee actually act?

Is it too good to be true? Unconfirmed word that Fox has fired Josh Trank, dumped the script and dumped the cast in order to start over?

I probably wouldn't believe except that Fox did this same thing with Daredevil at the 11th hour.

It's been officially denied: http://badassdigest.com/2014/03/14/breaking-news-josh-trank-is-directing-fantastic-four/

Max Landis, who wrote Trank's Chronicle and is friends with the director, also confirmed this on twitter.

Seems like there was no truth whatsoever to this rumor.
