Anybody who has gotten an Akira there is something I really want to know. The promo photo showed it with the Bussards way too small- they looked like big nipples instead of the fronts of the nacelles. Was this corrected in the production version? I have been looking around and found it on MonstersInMotion, but the image they had was the original promo as well.
There are a number of vessels I would like to have- the resin kits of them I can build but they do cost a lot more than these replicas.

My local FP has been terrible at getting any of them in, two or three weeks ago I checked again, they still just have the BoP and NX-01.

Easons have had every issue on the day of release of the UK Facebook page, so it looks like they've been snapped up since Thursday. Still a couple more shops I can check though.

I just to those two issues in today. Odd that I haven't gotten issues 9&10 yet.

Caesar753, I'm in agreement. These two are outstanding. I also agree that the Reliant is done better than the 1701 refit.

Toxteth O´Grady, I think I am going to frame mine. I also had thought about getting some sort of stand and displaying it that way.

Is there a specific reason everyone seems to hate the Borg sphere? I saw a picture and complained about the green hole being on both ends, but I get the feeling the hate is coming from something else.

I don't think that at all. I think it's well done.

Agreed. I really like the Borg Sphere. In fact, there's nothing I've seen so far that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Got the Reliant & Akira last week with the E-D dedication plaque, and even my wife (who is in no way interested in TNG) thought it was a nice-looking piece. Also finally got my DS9 yesterday and it really looks nice. It doesn't have the antenna array on the top of the command deck, but that's understandable due to the scale. Everything else on it looks really good and it was well worth the wait - nothing damaged or misshapen at all. I continue to be quite pleased with this subscription.

My only gripe with all these models has been the DS9 space station.

#1 The lower center (whatever you call it) was off kilter and it broke when I tried to align it.

#2 It does not contain the upgrades we saw in Way of the Warrior.

That said, they are sending me another DS9 with no grumblings at all.

Now that you got yours, I'm hopeful I'll get my replacement soon.

Yeah, I think this is the second run since I guess they ran out from before, which is why it took so long. The bottom section (I think the production crew called it the "dingleberry" back then) is perfectly aligned and its supporting struts are all firmly in place and parallel with the center line of the station - at least it was on mine.

The only manufacturing problem I've encountered so far was a detachment of the port nacelle from the Akira, which I could easily friction-lock back into place on its pylon without any issue (or glue). Aside from that, I've experienced a generally problem-free run.

My binder is getting pretty full. Are they supposed to be sending us another one when the time comes?

Received the Reliant, Thunderchild and Enterprise-D plaque today. Both ships were very, very impressive! And the plaque looks fantastic! I can't believe they just sent it to us absolutely free!

Sorry, I don't know. However, they recently began supplying continental Europe and have announced ten issues so far. It would seem likely that they'd start looking Down Under if the trial run in Europe is successful.

The next issue due in Germany is #4. Yeah, we're way behind. :rommie:

I presume you're talking about the retractable/deployable weapons? IE, the weapons that aren't ever seen on DS9 unless and until they're needed and thus activated and thus exposed. ;)

While it would be awesome for them to be shown, it makes perfect sense why that wouldn't be. They're only visible 0.1% of the time: when the station is in battle. So basically a handful of times since we first saw them in Way of the Warrior.

If we're going to lament things like that, we'd have to lament the lack of actual docking clamps and runabout landing pads that lower and raise and a lot of other little tiny things too...

My hate comes from the fact it's such an incredibly boring design. There's so many interesting, intricate designs in Star Trek and yet an entire issue of these models is devoted to a sphere? Meh.

My understanding of the terms and conditions is that you can opt out of receiving new binders when you subscribe. If you opted in, your card will be charged before a new binder is sent out.

Well, they couldn't just skip over it. That wouldn't be right. I happen to love anything Borg, so I can't wait. I wonder if we'll be getting any of the Borg ships from the Star Trek Legacy game. I could swear I saw some Romulan ship models from that game in the previews.
