And would he be on his own cycle starting from the meld, or would he be on Tuvoks cycle? Doesn't that seem like something you should warn the Captain about? "7 years from now, Lon Suder is going to rape his way through this crew until someone kills him." (I saw a new sitcom a few days ago, I can't remember which one, where the male lead claimed that he saw an unfortunate looking baby with Brad Dourif hair.)
Are you telling me that everyone who melds with a Vulcan gets the bonus every 7 years of Pon Farr? OMG. THIS is what ST:XIII will be about, 7 years after Delta Vega NuKirk feels a stirring..
Suder didn't get a normal communication-meld, Tuvok went in there medically and redecorated the shit out of how his mind worked and how he processed information. In some ways you could argue a murder of personality, which we saw Brad go through on Babylon 5, and he wasn't completely fond of the process over there at Warner Brothers.
Academy Award Nominee (one Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.) Brad Dourif twice (Thrice? Basics was a two parter.) played the role of Lon Suder on Star Trek Voyager, as well as Brother Edward in the 3rd season episode of Babylon 5, Passing Through Gethsemane, You may know him best as murderous doll Chucky from the Child's Play series of movies. As far as Star Trek was concerned, he was a big get.
Of course I have not watched him as Chucky, I would die. I am delicate. But thanks, I suspect when I watched that ep of Bab 5 I recognized him, but I've since forgotten. He certainly had a very convincing presence about him, and I thought the resolution of his character was satisfying (much better than leaving him in the brig never mentioned again for years).
Psycho killer cured by telepathy. Same fricking part in both shows, which aired within 3 months of each other. It was like being double teamed.
Brad Dourif does not have genetically human hair. It's that 1 percent Chimpanzee the rest of us don't have.
Doubtful I would say. Vorik passed on the burning loins of pon farr to B'Elanna because he was already being affected by it--hence the mental rape. Unless Tuvok was doing a very good job of hiding it, then he was perfectly normal when he melded with Suder.
Let me explain more clearly... Pon farr is an eruption from having a perfectly orderly Vulcan mind for Seven years. Tuvok hammered at Suder's mind until it was perfectly Vulcanly orderly. Suder has the strength of a Vulcan Mind, but does he have it's weaknesses?
Do Vulcan merkins use the same Moe Howard styling as the Vulcan haircut? Are Andorian merkins trimmed to give the appearance of antenna? Do predominantly bald races like Bolians, Deltans, and Talosians wear them as a fashion statement?
Data would have identical groupings and style as Soong. Although from he time we saw him grow a beard, if he tensed up and flexed his follicles, he could probably produce an afro down there very quickly like a stop motion recorded cheopet.
Nah, if that was the case it would have passed to Kes, that chick from Gravity, B'Elenna, Seven and Janeway. Damn! Tuvok.
Kes didn't have her personality "fixed". Removing his homodicality wasn't a quaint side effect. Tuvok went in there with a spade and dug some very deep holes.
Is this the physiological consequence or manifestation of the influence of highly disciplined mental abilities on a strictly biological imperative? If not, it would seem that the only possibility of transference to a non-Vulcan would be if a bond were in effect while Pon Farr was actually occuring a la Blood Fever. This is likely idle speculation however, as I have seemed to misplaced my copy of the Kir'Shara amongst other important volumes.
Romulans may not experience Pon Farr, but if they did, surely they would have told us by now, good lord, its almost a certainty that Romulans are not even telepathic! 2000 years ago Star Trek time, all Vulcans were biologically and culturally identical to the 24th century Romulans.
