Of course they are not alive.

Yeah. To think there are any survivors seems incredibly optimistic at this point.

Where is this plane? seems so eerie somehow the whole thing.
I do feel for the loved ones of the passengers, it is certainly the most horrible situation for them:borg:

I am having a strange feeling that the plane either crashed on land( not plausible, I know..) or was destroyed somehow in mid-air,..but then there would be lots of pieces falling down from that, not to mention bodies, luggage and so forth.
    It is truly a mystery.
I hope they find the plane soon though, wherever it might be.

Yeah, they were probably seeking asylum, making that mini-mystery resolved in the most tragic way possible :(

When I was in my teens, I remember watching a 70s or early 80s movie where humans from the future, who are suffering from a huge decline in population, invent time travel and then proceed to rescue humans from airliners that are about to crash and bring those rescued humans to the future in order to replenish the human population.

Pilots from the area say they've located debris according to HLN.

You're gonna feel really bad if it turns out Freejack was the in-flight movie.

Thanks for the info. I was searching for the movie's title for some time now.

Whew. Thank goodness all those poor people didn't die for nothing.

This whole situation is just awful. Not knowing what happened to this plane has just caused all sorts of speculation.

Yeah, the worst is people speculating that something weird happened to it and all those people are still alive somewhere. There's a pretty limited number of realistic options for what happened, none of which result in any of those people returning home. It's kind of sick to entertain that sort of speculation right now.

I looked up that movie this morning. Apparently, such temporal incursions were not without a price...

Well, something weird clearly happened. But I agree that (laymen) speculating about what specifically that might have been could be in bad taste.

The problem has nothing to do with speculation being offered by laymen. The problem is flippancy.

I'm really sick of one day "It must be terrorism!!!" then the next "Maybe the pilots did it!!!" then the next "Maybe it landed somewhere!!!". Just think of what the families are going through, no need to drag their (most likely dead) loved ones through the mud.

Until we get real facts everyone should shut up, because right now the plane being on the island from LOST fits into what everyone is saying.
