    That's rather patronizing.

Actually, how do we know Neelix is a male? S/he might look male to a human, but we never get to see the actual genitalia. Maybe they were scissoring like mad the whole time.

Considering the misogyny in his posting history I'm not all that surprised.

Women generally don't have such an awful fashion sense.

STAR TREK characters are fictional and, to my knowledge, only Riker's gender neutral girlfriend announced and declared her sexuality for all to see. So, you win this round! :p

I'm passionate about not letting stealth anti-gay commentary stand unrebuked, and I'm passionate about encouraging people to look at their own biases in regards to seeing heterosexuality as a default. To assume that because it was never said a character was gay so they must be straight IS a bias.

And yes as Emilia pointed out Kes is an alien, seems kinda ridiculous to be pronouncing her heterosexual as if it's some fact.

I am not about stealth anti-gay commentary, teacake. I don't answer to you. I am conservative and I have always been upfront and honest about that. Something which I do not owe you any explaination about or apology for. You, on the other hand, like throwing accusations around, to make yourself feel good because you're Liberal. I'm not attacking your beliefs. You take shit way too personally ...

In fact, I can't even make a post about Kes and how wonderful she is without you stalking me with your crude commentary, every ... single ... time. You seem very needy, or something, I don't know what it is with you.

2takes you no more know my politics than you know Kes's sexual orientation.

I am not taking things personally, I am correcting your distaste at lesbian sex. You may have your distaste but once you start posting it you have crossed a line and made this forum a potentially unfriendly place for gay folk. This is not to be.

One can be upfront and honest about eating little kittens, too. That doesn't mean people won't call the mad kitten-eater out if he admits to devouring adorable kittens.

Being upfront and honest about intolerant views doesn't increase their value.

Folks post stuff, other folks post things in return. Teacake is a long time fan of Voyager who enjoys talking about the show. Crude commentary? What would that be?

I don't want it to be NuBSG. I want compelling, interesting stories. And 'This character goes wacky for a week' does not meet that description.

No, I am not intolerant - nor I do not have to have every character on STAR TREK be so just to make a point of that fact.

I thought this thread was to talk about KES. That is what I came for. Start a teacake thread or a 2takesfrakes thread if you want, or message me privately. But I am not discussing this off topic nonesense, anymore.

Crude? Scissoring? Why that's tame in a world with holodecks and artificial gravity.

If you follow what are generally considered to be conservative values then you are, by definition, intolerant. It's kind of the whole philosophy.

Also, that was a pretty mean dig at Jennifer Lien you made earlier, as if all she ever had going for her was her appearance.

But it's all about what you posted 2takes. It's not off topic, it's in direct response to what you've said about Kes.

See I never got the appeal of doing it in artificial gravity. First of all I would probably be nauseous.. secondly aren't you always getting pulled away from each other in artificial gravity?

But yes holodecks.. so much could have been explored there and what did we get? Worf as a cowboy on a train
