And they'll be $20 each. Rocket Raccoon is the Black Series R2-D2 of the GotG line... he'd better come with plenty of accessories!

Just breaking online:

The very first image of the Kanan action figure from the Hasbro Rebels line.

Looks nice, but that archaic 5-POA design won't sit well with a lot of collectors. I hope the head is at least a modern ball joint.

They will have my money in November. I want all the new Capullo stuff as well! Now if only we could get a Cliff Chiang Wonder Woman!!!

The first 1995 Luke could have taken down Schwarzenegger in under a minute. I know this was the action figure aesthetic of the nineties, but man in retrospect did it look awful. Thankfully by the end of the decade they had gotten character proportions down to normal human levels.

Well, looking on the table in this video:

Pretty much confirms that the secret figure is the light blue Superman. Whoop de fucking do. And the line ends on a whimper.

I don't collect those but I'm sure that's gotta be a major disappointment. Another version of Superman, only this time with a light blue costume? That's as creative as they can get for the final action figure in this line that so many people have enjoyed?

Know the biggest irony?

As buff and beefy as the mid-to-late '90s figures often were they had more articulation than what we'll be getting in the Rebels figure line. 1995 Luke might look like a steroid addict with testicles tinier than prunes, but he has a waist joint. The newest stuff for the brand new TV series doesn't even sport that.

Eh, I don't expect anything more from Mattel. Their attitude towards fans has been downright hostile. They've heard the complaints. They've heard how much we hate Digital River, our QC concerns, and how ridiculous it is to expect people to commit to an entire year of figures sight unseen. They say that the figures can't cost out at $20 a pop, yet somehow Hasbro is managing to make an entire line of completely unique sculpts at that same price point. Then, after all the slights and mismanagements, they have the nerve to say that the failure of the line lies solely on the shoulders of the fans not supporting it. Then they tell us that they want to send the line off with a bang. In reality though, it was always going to be "we don't care about this line, so let's release one more figure that won't cost us a dime to make, since we've already got it ready to go."

Man, fuck Mattel.

When Hasbro in the year 2014 is trouncing you that's saying something. Mattel has been a train wreck of bad boys' action figures for ages but when they're falling way behind even Hasbro with that company's current leadership....wow.

Also DC went and revealed their new lines ahead of the weekend. We're getting new Capullo figures in addition to the ones already revealed, along with "Son of Batman" DTV figures.

There's one thing that's confusing me here. That Nightwing is a different figure from the Capullo one, right? Why would they release two figures of the same character in the same look in the same year, especially when the Capullo version already looks soooooo much better than this second one.

There is ALWAYS room for more Nightwing! :techman:

Oh don't get me wrong, I loves me some Nightwing. Dick Grayson is in my top three favorite DC characters along with Guy Gardner and Wally West. I just feel like with the limited number of figures DCC makes every year, that having a second Nightwing in a practically identical costume but with less articulation makes little sense.

Coverage of Toy Fair begins tomorrow. I'm so stoked. The collecting sites are going to light up like a forest of Christmas trees and I can't wait for all the feedback.
