Good news for Super Mario fans: we are finally getting a fully poseable Mario figure, thanks to S.H Figuarts.

Toy News International

The display is from the Nuremburg Toy Fair.

Not everything comes together, though, but rather as three separate items. The Mario figure comes with a mushroom, coin, and Question Mark block. Playset A consists of a Goomba, a coin, a Question Mark block, two brick blocks, and a green base, as well as a stand for the blocks and an adjustable stand that holds Mario in the air. Playset B Comes with a Goomba, Koopa Troopa shell, coin, alternate Mario hands to hold the shell, and both a short pipe and tall pipe.

As for American Dollar pricing, BigBadToyStore lists the Mario figure at $24.99, and the two playsets at $19.99 each.

I would love to get these, if it weren't for the price. :(

Mama mia! It's a dream a-come true!

That price actually doesn't sound too bad to me considering the prices of their other figures.

I have the Super Mario Bros. 3 theme song playing in my head right now, and it is glorious. :)

Those look pretty sweet, and the prices sound reasonable.

Are you guys kidding? This is the most ridiculous piece of fanwankery ever committed!

Ok, the time for exposition is over. The time for action is forthcoming. Time to make that articulation count.

Toy Roshi is coolest Roshi. Great birthday haul, man! They're all cool gifts, but that Artoo is really interesting.

So how often does this happen? A major toy company announces a line, and it makes it into stores before we even see a prototype picture. Well, it's happened with Funko's new multi-license Legacy Series. The first wave of Game of Thrones figures have started hitting Barnes and Nobles. These are 6" scale, and have Star Wars Black Series style articulation. Wave 1 has Ned Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Sandor "The Hound" Clegane, and a White Walker.

I picked up Jon and Dany. Tyrion was sold out already.

The body sculpts are great, and the articulation works well. The faces....eh. I think the likenesses are in there, but the paint is letting them down. Still, they're recognizable as the characters they're supposed to be. This makes me anticipate the Firefly figure even more.

They are rather light an accessories, though. Jon only comes with Longclaw, and Dany only with Drogon. I wish there had been a little more bang for out buck, especially at the $19.99 price point.
