In 2013, it's not really logical. Except if it's a stupidly heavy PDF, the transfer would be the faster part. The bigger deal would be the search for occurences in a databse loaded with a least one hundred years of boring log entries.I also bristle at the "download" the data to sickbay line. It just rubs me wrong for some reason. I keep wondering what my 1987 self thought about that line, since "download" wasn't really a part of the vernacular at the time.
