Well, no. It's down 400K viewers (scroll down to end of S4, start of S5). That said, it's better than the penultimate episode, ratings ticked back up again, and overall not significant enough to be a worry for the show.

For comparisons with a few shows that get regularly talked about here, Castle averages between 9 and 11 million viewers, Once Upon a Time between 6 and 8, SHIELD 6-7, The Walking Dead 12-13, and How I Met Your Mother 7-9.

So Duck Dynasty's certainly very impressive (and like TWD a cable show rather than a major network) but it's not massively more successful.

On the topic of the bachelor, I saw Chelsea lately talk about it, and from how his sentence structure was phrased, and because English is his second language, the word he was struggling for was not "perverts" it was "perverted" (perhaps in context to format, and not contestants) which is still not good, but a hell of a lot better than what came out, even if he did think that gay people are perverts.

I saw something like the bachelor called "Playing it Straight" where the dating game was set on a dude ranch, and every one was dressed up as a cow boy and had to do cowboy themed games to win... The twist in this show is that only half the contestants were gay, and the other half were pretending to be gay and if they could pretend well enough that they were into dick, then theose fauxmos in turn would win przes.
