JUST FOR FUN: Episodes that could have made good movies

It's been said that episodes such as 'Year of Hell' and in particular 'Yesterday's Enterprise' (showing Klingons with Worf on the bad side) could have been good premises for Star Trek films.

What do you think could be added to the stories?

"Relics", if only for the Dyson Sphere to actually be explored! The most amazing structure in the Trekverse was nothing but a B-plot.

You beat me to it! Except, I'm as interested in fleshing the situation out with Scotty and handling it properly as I am with exploring the Dyson Sphere.

Also, "These Are The Voyages" almost certainly would have worked better as an a full feature length movie, with a budget appropriate for the effects to place Riker and Troi's part of things on the U.S.S. Titan with a reason for them doing what they were doing that directly connected to Archer's crew rather than some random TNG episode, and to show the NX-01 refit. (And to not kill Trip, or if they had to, to kill Trip in a way that would be a little more than, "oh, and Trip died". ;) )

- Cause and Effect: The Movie. Now with 25 timeloops!

- Threshold: Extended Cut. Watch how Janeway and Paris raise their salamander offspring.

But seriously, any of these episodes could work as a movie:

- Hollow Pursuits + The Nth degree
- Blink of an Eye + Thine Own Self
- Power Play / The Crossing
- Tin Man + Alice
- Prototype
- Who watches the watchers + Homeward (...done right this time, unlike Insurrection)
