I just love Doctor Who. It's the one thing in my life I'm ridiculously geeky about. And today, I coudn't be happier.
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW It changes everything without actually changing the past of the show, utterly brilliant. Loads of cool surprises like all the Tardis from 1-11 and even the 12th Doctor first apperance (if brief) and Tom Baker at the end was AWESOME wish he offered him a jelly baby though. In one month "Silence will fall" when the Doctor visits Trenzlore Going to miss Matt.
Brilliant! Abso-fucking-lutely brilliant! I have been disappointed since Matt Smith's reign started, but it's all wiped away. Brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Allons-y!
Ehhhh, I liked it but it didn't blow me away. The Tom Baker bit was great. I wish they had the "real" Rose and not some Bad Wolf thing.
Still processing... It looks like the time lords were screwed anyway (mass dalek blockade) and The Moment would have only hastened their demise? At one point I was kinda worried about how Time War was taking a backseat to the Zygon stuff... but somehow the payoff was worth it in the end. Great chemistry and banter between the three. Loved the cameos also.
Really enjoyed it. A well told story with plenty of celebratory moments and hinting towards where the show is going next. Shame CE couldn't show up for the regeneration but loved Tom Baker showing up at the end.
Personally I didn't like the Zygon stuff but the ending made up for it. All 50th anniversary events had terrible story-lines but good endings.
Yes, that was good. In quiz memes I always come out as the Fourth, and I've always thought I'm more like the Sixth... But no. I am the John Hurt Doctor, really. The one who... well, my wife said it better as we were watching, so I'm sure she'll comment on LJ or Facebook and I'll copy it....
