Didn't see it, had no desire to. I think I saw an issue of a comic adaptation of the remake once and didn't care for it. Never been a fan of remakes of any kind. The original Prisoner only requires watching "Arrival" first, then "Once Upon a Time" and "Fall Out" last. The rest can pretty much be jumbled in any order. "Fall Out" is probably my favorite judging from how many times I've watched it, since it raises even more questions about WTF is going on. This is a series I first saw in 1967 or thereabouts, and it still baffles me. It's a wonderful brain game.

That's the kind of show where there is something that makes the shadowy corporate evil perfectly fine, TIME TRAVEL my favorite ever plot. Orphan Black was even better IMO, also was so much more that fighting conspiracies. If you liked Continuum you should check out Orphan Black, one season and renewed for a second. Well, when it first aired in the States, The Prisoner was on CBS. The Monkees was on NBC. Unlikely CBS would have promoted another network's product. And the Beatles were fans of The Prisoner when it first aired in UK. Don't know if it was their suggestion or someone else's to include "All You Need Is Love", but they agreed to it nonetheless, which was unusual for any television to use a current song as part of its soundtrack at the time. Though I think the script originally indicated a traditional tune, like "Pop Goes the Weasel" or something.
Basement level gumshoe battle mage. Monster of the week. Fun, but nothing to write home about. Small enough to eat over a weekend. "Dresden" is now a supporting character in Arrow. Arrow isn't about crime fighting. It's about revenge. The Arrow Guy has a list and he's killing people on it to avenge his father. Voyager's Borg Queen plays his mommy.

Last time I needed new stuff I acquired a whole lot of pilots and first few eps of varying series and watched them all and some I abandoned (Falling Skies) and some I got addicted to. Falling Skies is awful. Badly written cheap manipulative theatrics for the weak minded. It's shit, with a great SFX budget. Blood and Chrome the movie was enough for me. If they kept going it just would have cocked up.
But I love the world. So I would have watched it and enjoyed it anyway. Falling Skies was horribly american to me, like some kind of telemovie shown on a remembrance day.
LOLness I was looking up IMDB reviews for Arrow and someone gave it a terrible score saying, This is "Batman Begins - The Soap Opera". My first thought was, that sound fabulous!! So I'm going to check that out and Once Upon a Time.

That's not a half bad sum up honestly. A friend and me had a theory it was meant to be the same world the feel is so similar. Rumour has it now is that DC might be trying a Marvel with a slightly different approach and using TV to seed their cinematic attempts (IE same world as Man of Steel, though there's absolutely no recognition of the Kryptonian invasion, more future proofing for Justice League)
Well I've watched the first two episodes. Slightly disturbed that in his quest for revenge he kills a whole lot of people to get to his target who he then makes pay out millions to those the target wronged. If I lost my house and was living in a trailer and someone said I could get millions from the person who screwed me over BUT all his bodyguards and a few other randoms would have to die first I would tell them go fuck themselves. Kind of an odd justice. I'm enjoying the island parts. I guess the Batman Begins parallel would be Tibet or wherever that snowy place was. I did love Batman Begins.
He's definitely killing people, and he doesn't care, but they are soldiers and therefore "legal targets". I honestly don't think that the producers thought that the audience would be counting all the dropped bodies Yup, your sentiments are not isolated, and eventually, they are dealt to, after a fashion.
I'm hoping to watch the next two tonight. I'm also hoping to find a character I really like looking at which hasn't happened yet, Borg Queen or no. So far it's suffering from american tv syndrome where all the women look the same. BUT THERE IS A MYSTERIOUS SYMBOL! So, that has to be good.
This show is made for young straight women and old gay men. Just like Smallville and everything else on the CW.
