I have to admit, I wasn't really seeing much of a resemblance between Hartnell and Bradley before, but watching that trailer it's amazing how much he really does seem to embody the actor.

I especially love that final shot of him looking upwards.

Funny, I didn't find much resemblance at all. But for me, vocal resemblance is as important as visual, and Bradley doesn't sound anything like Hartnell. Although I liked that Hartnellian "Hm?" he did.

I freaked when I saw the Mondasian Cyberman!

Of course, in most of those shots we saw Bradley as Hartnell the actor rather than the next level deeper, Bradley as Hartnell performing a shot as the Doctor, so I reason his voice wouldn't carry the same "arrogance" the Doctor would often display.

And I gotta' say that console room set looked beautiful! The quick glimpses we got sure look like they got the details right!

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Excellent point. In the stills, as The Doctor, rather than as The Actor William Hartnell, his look is great, he's got a lot of the poses and postures and looks down pretty well. I can't wait to see the whole actual piece, and immerse myself into it. We've had alot of Biopics in the States (Partridge Family, Three's Company, Monkees, Jacksons, Osmonds, etc), but, this is the first time I think I've seen a color Biopic for a B/W show, so, that'll be something special too

For me it's not just about the attitude, it's about the actual pitch, timbre, and rhythms of a voice. Bradley's voice is significantly deeper than Hartnell's.

There was one about the making of Gilligan's Island, which was black & white in its first season before switching to color. And there was the feature film Hollywoodland, which was mainly about George Reeves's life and death, but included some making-of stuff for The Adventures of Superman, which also started out in b&w. And wasn't there a movie some years back about the '50s game show scandals? (Checks) Yeah, it was called Quiz Show, made in '94 and directed by Robert Redford. Not quite the same thing, but close.

Yeah I think we're mostly talking about acting here, not about actual transmogrification.

Finally! Great trailer. I'm filled with joy to see the Menoptera and the Mondasian Cybermen as well as David Bradley in The Reign of Terror outfit. I've been very impressed how much Bradley looks like Hartnell and he sounds better than I expected. Can't wait. :D

Ah, I was already geeking out during the trailer and then they have the theme playing at the end. It's still the best version to me! :D The Dalek shot was great, too.

Did you see the preview clip as well? Sidney Newman lists all the things they don't want - tin robots, bug-eyed monsters, ray guns which made me chuckle because all of that kind of showed up in the show, anyway.

I'd love it if this Tardis set could be used for a scene in the 50th, maybe a switch in the "desktop". Hartnell's Tardis is probably my favorite of the Classic era as the set is so large compared to the set used by later Classic Doctors.
