I thought this could be fun thread for sharing those moments when you realize how much of a Star Trek geek you are.

For me, it was when I realized that I think of the Enterprise B every time I get a warm sandwich at Starbucks and hear the alarm on the oven go off. It sounds just like an alert sound from one of the bridge consoles!

What's your Star Trek nerd moment?

For me it was when Yeoman Randi told me I was a much bigger Trekkie than she is... and she has a Trek arrowhead tattooed on her shoulder!

A friend and I debated which captain was the "best" for an hour (Picard of course :p). When we realized how long the conversation went, we both knew we were nerds.

I say Intriguing a lot too, but I thought Intriguing was more of a Data staple.

When your friends are discussing an episode they can vaguely remember and you blurt out the name of the episode.

Yeah, I've had this realization mostly when I've found myself discussing specific characters or episodes for hours on end with people. And the fact that I spend time on a board like this, posting in threads like this (lol). And the fact that, in my living room, I have a life sized cardboard cutout of Spock and a bunch of ST action figures on all the shelves. And I'm attempting to actually learn some Klingon (my excuse for this, to "normal" people, is that I'm a translator and went to college for foreign languages, so I have an interest in languages for that reason).

When you equate sitting in the driver's seat of your car to sitting in the command chair of a starship.

    About the driving again:
That happened when I was sitting to the right of the unexpirienced driver (very unexperienced) with GPS navigator and found myself reporting him ETA to highway exits and collision alerts (and not joking, that trucks were really close), imitating bridge officers from the series.

When you argue for thirty years that Bob Wesley from "The Ultimate Computer" is not the regular captain of the Lexington. :guffaw:
