So, it seems all the theatrical screenings are in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with nothing in North America, or anywhere else really.

Oh well, wasn't really planning on seeing it in theatres anyway.

Hm, just thought of this. Hopefully there will be an option to see it in good ol' fashioned 2D.

There won't be if it's only one one screen per cinema, which is almost certainly the case.

In the US, Fathom Events will be handling the theatrical release, on the Monday after the anniversary. It's not on their website yet, though.

I suspect if you're not in New York, LA and maybe Chicago you're be SOOL, though.

I don't know about that; Fathom has an even-more-niche event (a screening of a Sondheim revival) in hundreds of locations across all 50 states this week, and a quick check of the site suggests most of their theaters carry all events. Probably will be one screen, one showing, 3D only, though.

It's impressive how much of it was done with live dioramas rather than CGI.

Exactly, it was done more practically than I had presumed, if it was done fully CGI you can guarantee that the Daily Fail and other detractors of the BBC would complain wholesale.

    Very cool photos.

Is that supposed to be a representation of Frobisher next to K9?

    It's Sarah's stuffed owl.

That's not a euphemism, she (for no readily apparent reason) took one with her when she left the Tardis in The Hand of Fear, I wouldn't be surprised if its shown up in SJA as well.

I assume Totter's Lane uses a lot of the set dressing from An Adventure in Time and Space.

Jeez. Ok, now I see it as an owl. For some weird reason, my brain told me it was a baby penguin. Stupid brain.

I'm a detractor of the BBC, finding its programming to be almost entirely terrible, and I thought it was a great trailer.

It could still be Frobisher. He is a shapeshifter after all.

Sorry for going off topic, but seriously?

We here in germany have to TV-stations set up in a similar way than the BBC. They have much more money at their disposal, yet to me they do not manage to match the quality of what the BBC offers.
Of couse, not everething the BBC does is great and noteworthy, but the range and quality of dramas and documentaries is so much better than what i was used to.

Looks like Cineworld didn't wait until 9am as tickets are on sale now.
