And this whole Jason Segel things is interesting. Did he really shoot all of his scenes beforehand, or is he shooting them on the east coast where he's doing a movie?

To be fair, they've just repeating the same clips over and over again. I believe there's one where the kids are sitting listening attentively. And there's another where they go "What?!" which was featured in the episode where the gang smokes.
