PICTURE POST II!

Great photos, we'll be at DisneyWorld in 16 days. Can't wait to get there. Did you stay at the Wilderness Lodge? We love that place, we're staying at Bay Lake Tower. Love being so close to the Magic Kingdom.

We always stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We say we'll stay at another resort but always end up at the Lodge. We can't go very often. It takes us about 4-5 years to save to go. We try to go on our anniversary. This year we had dinner at Be Our Guest on our anniversary. We got to try the Grey Stuff:

People may have heard about the large amount of rain Denver got over the last few days. Thanks to a flood control wetlands project and the tax dollars that paid for it hundreds of thousands of gallons of water did not roll through the neighborhood. :)

And some of the nifty waterways in the nearby park are working as their designers planed.

How far were you from this bird/these birds when you took these pictures? What kind of zoom lens or camera did you use? That's very impressive quality considering that most small birds like this are extremely skittish and fly off when you get even half as close to them as this appears to be.

Have only uploaded the pics from my NY/DC trip to facebook thus far, but here's one to start with that will be appreciated here I think:

"Admiral, it is the Enterprise!" :D

Thanks. I will have to put up some more, but I have like 250 of them, so it might just be a link to an album so I don't destroy the board

I haven't had the opportunity to see any of the existing space shuttles in person, but if I could pick which one to see first it'd definitely be the Enterprise. She looks great.

First one I saw in real life. I was awestruck. That pic is about ten minutes after we entered into the hangar and I had begun to pick my jaw up off the ground

Okay, here's a link to the gallery of the trip: http://imgur.com/a/7xzBu#0
The guy with the shaved head in some of the pics is my friend and travel companion Johan.

I did also meet up with the lovely tsq, but we got along so well I totally forgot to take any pictures!

I took a ton of pictures on the Intrepid too. I still haven't gotten around to sorting through them all.

I was the same. Just being able to walk around and right underneath it was pretty awesome.

^I know, right? I thought I was prepared but...I just stared at it. This awe-inspiring machine. We're on a board that deal with the make believe ships most of the time, but here was the real deal in front of my eyes.

It's really an odd thing that stuck me more than anything on this trip. All these things and places I've seen pictures of, but they where entirely different in real life. All the buildings and city just seemed out of proportion in three dimensions somehow.

^I had the same thoughts when I saw Endeavour. Best thing ever, especially being able to see it fly overhead one last time. Fucking amazing. I'll never forget seeing the space shuttle. And the crowds in Downtown LA waiting for it to go by. Awesome. Worth waiting an hour to see it.
